Been spamming the signup page since then, doesn't look like they're taking anyone else now. I definitely know I made it through the sign-up process and got the "wait for confirmation email" screen though. Oh well.

Got through again and tried to sign up and got this message:

Due to users abusing the site and creating multiple accounts, we have limited the number of accounts that can be created from a single IP to 1 every 7 days. You must wait 6d 21:55:44 before you can create an account.

Means my request definitely went through previously, but the email is stuck somewhere in limbo.

I saw your account made when I was refreshing the new member page to check for the timers, so it definitely went through.

What type of e-mail did you use?

I'd suggest trying to check their IRC for help.


On the other hand, I tried to make an account for my cousin, I got through and stuff, said I registered and they were going to send an e-mail, but I never got it, and the account, unlike yours, never showed up on the new member page =( oh well

I used my alumni email account from college, which basically is an alias that I can forward to any email address I want, currently my Gmail. I'm guessing that with all the registration traffic mine and a few others' confirmation emails didn't make it through the pipe. Going out tonight, but I guess I can check on IRC later on and see if an admin can get the confirmation email resent. Thanks for the info Juli.

Every time the register page comes up, I attempt to register (I'm actually given the page where I can fill out my info) but my the time I hit submit, it says they're at max. :/

Update: Success! Just like someone posted earlier, when you get the message "Max users have been reached for the current time period. More spots will open very soon so keep trying. When you get in there will be a party and Cake," it seems to reopen every 15 minutes, so keep on pressing the register button and you'll eventually get it.

couldnt use yahoo either... you know, I thought it was annoying when the forums changed, and I couldnt remember the email address I originally used, but it came as a godsend because if I kept on not knowing I still had a netzero email from a few years ago, I wouldnt have been able to register.
