Animated Shield Tips?

uh, to add to this, even before I got aegis shield bashing jailer of faith during casts interrupted (otherwise unstunnable), I don't think its stunning it so much as interrupting it (no "The Jailer of Faith is no longer stunned.")

Actually past that, I'm convinced any group of players with at least 10 ppl and 5-6 that can use a stun WS can do this. From my win, and 3-4 wins following we simply pushed for communication and a WS stun order. My kill had about 25 ppl w/o 2hrs and we killed it in about 3-4min. He tried to warp about 8 times. We didn't sweat, we simply kept our cool and stayed on the order.

The other wins followed suit. I actually think every attempt after our initial win, was successful. Its really a very simple fight... Stun WS order, period.

As for the satellites, just kite them away with a thf. They are stupid slow.

I only killed it once and used Shoulder Tackle two or three times (it tried to warp but got interrupted at least twice) and didn't see a "The Animated Shield is no longer stunned." in the log afterwards. It Shield Bashed a Counterstanced (not sure that it mattered) MNK for ~1500 at the start which was pretty funny though.

any hints on specific method of pulling?
I agrod them all and ran off while someone voked shield as I would at any sack pull
then the sattelites seemed to run back to tanks and fuck everyone up
from vids I've seen on youtube, they dont seem to share hate... except when I try to pull it -__-;

if i had to bet, your tanks voked WAY too early. animated weapons spawn their satelites over the course of several seconds. if your tank vokes after the first couple pop, you're going to get the rest of them giving you a tracheotomy with a piece of drainage tile (please take a moment to savor that image.) on my relic horn fragment, we had our tank voke just a half second early and we got 1 satelite horn, but it wasn't a big deal. several could have f-ed us up pretty bad though. there's no real special tricks to hate on this mob that i've seen if you aggro it and kite them off, unlike the attestation mobs you gotta do funky stuff to break their shared hate. just make sure your pld don't have an itchy trigger finger and you should be fine.

We did quiet a few fragments recently in the ls I was in after killing DL. Shield bash and weapon bash both seem to interrupt casting. Good luck on killing the shield .
