My brother plans on getting the A8 when it's available. Cars don't do a lot for me, but the first time he showed it to me I was impressed.

The A8 has been around for awhile. I tried to get my mum to buy a 2000 model, but that didn't work.

I'd rather have a 911 GT3 RS any day over the R8.

I know Wiki said it, so it must be true, but why compare it to a 911? This is more in the realm of F550/Murcielago territory. Hell, the thing is based on the Gallardo.

Unless you're referring to a 997 911 GT3, you're comparing a flat-6, rear-wheel drive rear-engined car (911) with a V8, mid-engine, all-wheel drive car. The handling dynamics are completely different, of course its going to be more manageable.

Edit: V12 TDI? No, that was the red one at the Geneva Show (the Le Mans TDI - uses the same engine in their LM Prototype cars) The production versions only come with the V8, there were no official plans to produce the V12 TDI, it was just a design exercise:

The new GTR is amazing... I've seen it in person and I can tell you that the interior is something to compare with fine german cars like BMW or Audi interiors.

One thing I hate is getting a hold of one... You can't preorder these because they are all either bought out or the dealer is not taking orders anymore! and the ones that arrived are being sold for like $60-$90k over here :/ and people buy them... I heared one got sold for 400k ryals (more than $100k)

Wow thats a massive mark up lol. And dont make fun of the 350 interior better then the EVO! lol Oh and I just saw a R8 about 2 days ago and it really is nice, though it seems lots of Women are getting in sports cars now...or driving theirs husbands/boyfriends.

Comparable yea, but it isn't German. German cars have that certain feel too, and the R8 has that. The GT-R is mostly impressive because of how finely it can be tuned while driving. A down side to that is the fact that it limits just how much tuning you manually do because of how much control the computer has, tuning even the slightest thing without the computer will upset the balance of the entire car.

That being said the R8 just looks so much nicer and will eventually, while not yet, be given the power to compete at a Ferrari or Lamborghini level.
