Nice shots, I was at NYIAS; my company does a lot of the press reveal days for the manufacturers before the public is allowed in. Its nice, but since I'm show crew and not press, I'm not allowed a camera. Not that it matters that much, I only get about 20 minutes to look around before I'm back working on the next show.

Satin finish on that f430, didn't see that in NY. Nice idea, Ferrari >.>

Comparable yea, but it isn't German. German cars have that certain feel too, and the R8 has that. The GT-R is mostly impressive because of how finely it can be tuned while driving. A down side to that is the fact that it limits just how much tuning you manually do because of how much control the computer has, tuning even the slightest thing without the computer will upset the balance of the entire car.

That being said the R8 just looks so much nicer and will eventually, while not yet, be given the power to compete at a Ferrari or Lamborghini level.

You are right. I asked if the new GTR was tunable, and they said no. Basically, if you want to add anything to it, the car won't start... It's like a firewall system. They don't want yout to do anything with it (other than drive it ). That's why they are selling a manual gear version of it, that is tunable. And like you said, German cars are awesome, I love them. Like the M6, while driving down the road, you can go from a normal 400bhp power to 507bhp with a single button. It also changes suspension, gear speeds ect... Kinda awesome and honestly, the current R8 has the looks of a supercar, but not the engine... The 977 Carrera S might be able to pwn it...
