Stuck inbetween zones

I get this problem about once a year. It usually fixes itself within 24 hours.

If it was effected a number of us in the same region (or ISP) then it might have been a problem on our ISP's end. Reminded of that time one of the major trunks went down and a large quantity of players could not connect to zones.

"load balancing" seems to really tick off FFXI, and it might not have liked some of the redirects our traffic was taking (or should of been taking)

I logged out in a salvage run last night. I went to log in this morning, and while I was being transferred between the salvage zone and alzadaal, my connection shit the bed and I DCed. Now whenever I try to log in to my main character, it holds at the downloading screen and eventually gives me a FFXI-3001. I called a GM from my mule but just got a lame canned response saying they couldn't do shit.

Anyone have this issue before and know of a remedy?

OMFG... i thought it was only me haha... EVERY time I tried to zone yesterday I had this happen to me... wanted to punch babies in the face I was so annoyed....

Also after trying to get back on / past char selection, some times I'd just get a black screen -.-

It started happening sat. night when I zoned into Besieged...
