same bullshit was happening to me as well, using normal FFXI client to update instead of windower and now it seems fine.

I got part of the update then I keep getting

POL-1160 blah blah network is busy, but at the bottom it says

D:rom4/8/16.dat

I have ffxi saved on my D drive obviously. Do you think I should save that dat, then remove it and see if it will download over it?

I'm having the same issue on the rare cases i even get that far. Probably just more detailed "sorry server is busy" info crap.

i had to completely restart my cpu to get the shit to actually download, i was having the same error, it would say D: blah/blah .dat. i hope someone does upload via rapidshare or something QQ

in the past ive used both PoL and windower for two different computers, the PC with PoL was faster... and i get D:ROM/204/7 error...
