Iphone 3g with GPS!

Everything the iPhone can do the iTouch does for less than the 1600 or so the iPhone costs. I read a pretty good article today, really puts buying an iPhone in perspective, I always forget about the touch.

There are GPS apps I guess, but the 1600 figure isn't off unless they like very recently decided to not force you into a 70$/month contract with the phone?

Can apparently pay $599/$699 to AT&T to get a contractless 8GB/16GB. Not sure who else has 3G though (and decent coverage) to know if it'd be even worth it

its 200/300$ if your upgrading.. and a minimum of a 2 year contract... But your mistaken about the service charges. the iphone benefits are only +30$ on your existing contract. My old contract was 60$ per month for "X" amount of minutes and 1500 texts. I'm now paying 95$ for the same package w/the iphone [w/includes [iphone benefits]

Anybody w/the Iphone/Ipod know of a good radio app to DL (idk if it costs money). I've browsed the available app's, but I'm looking for one that allow's you to look up specific radio stations & not just by type.

Pandora, but I'm not sure if it counts as a "radio." It's still the best free app out there next to Aurora Feint.

Anyone play dizzybee yet? I looked like a total jackass twirling my phone around on the bus, but it was worth it.

Pandora is only by type. AOL Radio allows you to listen to actual stations (including some local ones), but is limited in selection.

For example, in Seattle, I can listen to 106.1, 94.1, 96.5, 102.5, and 1090 AM.

In, say, Chicago, you can listen to: 104.3, 105.9, 99.5, 670 AM, and 780 AM.

Well, you can listen to any city's local station from anywhere, but that's what's listed under Seattle and Chicago stations.

There's also stations by genre, as well, and some other stuff that you don't find on your local radio.

Got my iphone and enjoying it, I can now spread all my images from random image thread and /b/ to my friends with it via photo viewer, and it's nifty.

But all my animated gif files don't work anyone know if there's a fix?

Not as far as I know... animated gif's don't work on the G3 either

Not that I've seen.. I haven't tried to send a .gif (w/I know is animated) to somebody, but I've updated my AIM and other profiles w/animated .gifs via my iPhone and when viewed on another comp it's the same as how I doctored it through the phone. I just think the iphone lacks the software to save/view such.

My friends contacts were all deleted from Mobile me or whatever and it got pushed to his iPhone and now he has no contacts. Mobile Me didn't even alert him if something like that should happen like it should have.

How come the keyboard doesn't switch views? Like from vertical to horizontal view when one flips the phone (like most things)? I thought it was odd, it'd have made typing much simpler. Other than that, I'll see if I can hustle my friend out of his touch since he won't need it anymore ;D

You can switch the phone outside of IM's/txt's (not sure about emails). But not allowing the screen to switch for txt msg's is a major fail imo
