No. It DC's you after you close the app, or if your phone goes into standby. So you will not get any messages on your phone unless you have the app open, and it does not go into standby (meaning you're touching your screen once every 60~ seconds)

The AIM app sucks really bad, however it's supposed to have push support when the push toolkit comes through, so it's really not AOL's fault.

I wish that gchat would work on it like it does on my fiance's blackberry. How it doesn't just stop if it goes into stand-by.

Any one know if theres a way to get that to happen?

yeah I have sorta the same issue. for some reason it would only push it when I selected the internet or an application that used the cellular data network even though its set up to push every 15 mins.

Heard it's an issue w/ yahoo mail provider. dunno why it suddenly stopped working like a week ago, when it's been working perfectly ever since... it makes my Beejive useless when I can't get email pushed to me ; ;

Do other mail providers allow for push? my gmail account doesnt
