Even at the reduced effect for the cost, compare it to all of NIN's tier 2 merits. I bet Nin would trade every single tier 2 merit just for something like Overwhelm. I'm sure they'd even take a 2% increase per upgrade from the start and love it. I know I would.

25% on DB isn't even broken since the overall cap is at 80% (people were hitting it with ease since before the update).

All it does is lets a DRK take out haste gear for other equipment during a 30 second duration.

Seriously though, people who think that 25% would break the game are deluding themselves. So I go from averaging 800-900 per ws to 900-1000 per ws, yep game is borked.

I'm not gonna complain about only getting an extra 4-5%, I'll gladly take whatever SE wants to throw my way. Samurai is going to take over the world eventually anyway.

It was already one of the best group two merits in the game and it's still getting an improvement. No one really has the right to complain about this. If you think you do then you probably won't be happy until you hop in a time machine and go level RNG four years ago.

Oh the memories! Also, I don't mind at all - we got an improvement, that's all I care about. I was about to sue if it was 15% over 5 merits, and we'd have to put in 10 merit points to hit 15%.

Can I complain about something else? Mainly the fact that SAM is now the only job of the 20 to not have a movespeed item/ability? Seriously, why put COR on those feet, they already have Skadi and Crimson, MNK I can kinda understand since that would at least get them out of the huge lines for tiamat trophies, but COR? Unless you're planning on making multiple movespeed+ items stack SE, good job failing @ that. Meanwhile I get to be slower to everything than 90% of the LS now because I'm always forced to come SAM and everyone else gets to move faster now.


About overwhelm, Its more a kick in the shins than anything. 25% boost would not have been any more game-destroying than 19 or 20% will be, SE is just bowing to the cries of the masses who are angry SAM gets so many nice toys. I'll still probably cap it, but it dropped from a "fuck I've gotta recap that first" merit into going on the back burner behind DB and a few others. Maybe they'll un-gimp it in the future. I can hope, at least.

Because you have SV Marchs everytime you use Last Resort?

Because you have Hasso when /nin, /pup, etc?

Because you can't change gear into more Att+ during the duration of Last Resort (ie. drop the Homam and equip the Ares during those 30s of LR)?
