what the retarded shit about using a soultrapper on him.
I could be wrong but you would need the zeni NPC to actually be interested in seeing Dark Ixion, since he doesn't just talk any random pics...right?
If he took any random pics of any random mob for zeni that would be broken, although I am guessing everyone else just ignored that dumb idea anyway.
Has got to be some kind of other tricks to it sort of like how you throw the pixies drop to make it attack you. Someone drag a pixie over to the battle.
nin/drk could get a pretty high thunder resist starting just witht he good ole byakkos question is who has the inventory space for another elemental build?

actually, the NPC will. for example, i was asked for an arcana crab (i have NO idea what that is...) so i just strolled out and took pictures of anything i saw. most returns were between 3 and 7 zeni and weak mobs i snapped en route to bastok via altep were 1-3, but he will accept non-target plates for very small returns at up to 10 plates per vana day.Originally Posted by shihei
Now that maint. is over has anyone spotted it to see if it has a HP bar now?
With bookshelves adding 20 storage spaces and other items adding a lot as well, rarely used equip like elemental builds could easily be stored in...storage.Originally Posted by Caclax

That is without relevance for people who already had it capped at 80. I can now get rid off 40 storage worth of furniture, great ...Originally Posted by Raislin

The solution for this ->
Everyone seeing Dark Ixion call a GM with reporting that it has no HP Bar. Those who fought it , that it does not die.
And people keep doing that the next days like crazy till GM´s can´t handle the calls anymore. No this does not work for AV.
If Square changes it to a HP bar, we know it was a bug or not wanted, if they say something about it we might know more too
if they don´t act it is wanted like that. (and this is what will happen)
I really hate to spoil this Q_Q
You know that if you target something with no HP bar, then the HP % that shows up is of the last thing you targeted right Q_Q? It's a windower glitch.
i just did a fast tally of thunder gear for a nin w/o doing anything particularly bonkers and left a couple slots open that had mediocre options. the results are rather encouraging. i assumed you could come up with some adroit jewelry borrowed from a thf friend, but i'm sure there's some substitutes out there of some kind or another.
Terra's Staff 20
Lightning Bow+1 7
Black Ribbon 12
Jeweled Collar 10
Adroit Earring 10
Adroit Earring 10
Malflash Ring 10
Adroit Ring 10
Lightning Mantle 6
Earth Belt 20
Byakko's Haidate 50
Spagyric Nails 8
Total 175
while some of those choices are a little obscure, i'm sure someone smarter than me could tune them. at 175, you're in the realm of sufficiently high gear that carol and barthunder should get you at a key tier for resist. the fact that the weapon is a terra is kinda nice too for his attacks that ignore shadows, such as the trample move.
Rofl that's about the 4th time it's been mentioned this thread hahahaha
Maybe not having an HP bar is a throwback to 'old school' FFs in the sense that boss battles did not have visible HP values. You just kept hitting whatever it was that you were fighting until it went down.
Ixion not having an HP bar, Sandworm using the Zone Eater-style warp - Tributes to Final Fantasies past?
It adds another element to the battle, not knowing when your team (or someone elses team) is near the start, middle or end of a fight, so you have no real room to breathe.
Makes for a more interesting HNM, until someone parses the HP value at least.

Of all the things regurtitated from previous FFs, at least one thing still holds some relevance. The 10min benne or mini-benne seems to be a major road block in the attempts posted thus far.
One thing I do want to know is why would SE create something that would utilize a strategy they are trying to do away with. Why nerf zergs and then create a HNM that requires zerg?
