It's on a time limit in each zone. Sometimes it would disappear and pop up in another zone without being aggro'd.

Seems at least 30min. The one we had repopped after scaring it away about 45 minutes later (Went from Rolanberry to Fort KN_S)

Which I think they should swap back to Faf wings hitting everyone and whatnot so assholes stop crowding people who claim it. And because if people die to Fafnir wings when they're not fighting it, then they're stupid and deserve to die and HP.

You'd be surprised how many people from a certain ls on my server still manage to die to a fafnir they don't have claimed...

Random, he respawns after running away reasonably fast, under 15min? For us he went from Fort > E. Ronf > Fort again
