I found him evasive with no songs and no anything. If I was gonna TP on him, I'd use sushi and brd, or maybe a PT like JOL with RNG + COR + melees.

lolol you know thats right. seemed like he steped his game up a tad bit at 50% and then got pissy after 10%. dont get me wrong though, he seemed perma pissed from the start.

No they're just Rare... as in they can be traded... as in not Rare/EX... as in what everyone else has been saying.

I don't own the cloak and cape. I lotted everything and was showign it off in a SS.

Edit: At Therin, you're dumb for saying this body is worthless. For RDM sure. But for BRD it can be argued as one of the best debuff pieces. It might have a few less CHR than errant body and a head piece, but it has magic acc. Not to mention full time regen and refresh, 13 MND, etc. If you don't own a marduk body, this is a free piece that's just as close, less fast cast, etc.

So you're saying it's a marginal increase if an increase at all. You wear RSE feet because they look good. You gave up your right to comment on BRD gear long ago, my friend.

As a career BRD, here's where I see it being useful, and where I see it failing. I'm not really going to comment much on other jobs, but I believe similar reasons apply, at least for the jobs I have leveled. I can't really comment at all on SCH, BLU, PUP or SMN.

It's a nice idle piece if you're subbing WHM and don't have Dalmy/Marduk's. It's a good debuff piece if you don't have AF2 hat or Marduk's Tiara. The regen is better than nothing, but you'd still want to have Manteel or Yigit Gomlek subbed in before you started singing buffs, which kinda limits how much you can wear it. The MND is alright for Stoneskin, good space-saver if you can ditch a +MND hat. The main draw seems to be that you can idle in it and leave it on during debuffs, but your average HNM BRD spends no more than a few seconds every few minutes debuffing, so I don't really see the point.

The downside is that while it tries pretty hard to be both a good debuff piece and good idle piece, it doesn't really excel at either. It makes you give up your head slot for autorefresh with no HP/MP, debuff stats that aren't better than reasonably available alternatives, and zero fast cast/song speed, which is arguably a critical part of modern-day BRDing. If you want autorefresh, even a Vermy is better, if you want debuff stats, Errant/Osode+AF2/Marduk's trounces it, and it'll never replace Sha'ir for speed buffing or meriting. The only thing it offers that's really unique is the Regen.

Personally, I have AF2 hat and rarely sub WHM, so I have very little desire to get this particular piece of gear. YMMV, shit's situational, etc. It's a piece that I think would benefit your average mediocre BRD more than anyone who actually cares about the job and tries to play the best they can.

The cape, on the other hand, is pretty solid, at least for other jobs. Best-in-it's-slot INT and MND, with -2 enmity and 20 MP thrown in for good measure. The only downside is that it has -hp to fuck with latent ring procs, but that's not an insurmountable problem, and not everyone uses Sorc Ring in every situation.
