Maxing magic accuracy will be what I try next. I've tried insane amounts of CHR and wind skill. I had cap wind 288 (Gjall, af2+1 hands) before this latest update (those nwe boots) HNM still resist most fo the time. +2 CHR won't do shit for me. +2 magic accuracy stacked with omega ring, Ixion Cloak, etc. might lend a hand to sticking things like elegy more often.

The bottom line is you lost the right to bash anyone or anything for reasons of marginal increases when you ignore it when it applies to yourself. It's hypocritical and your overtly blatant pseudo-elitism is not as insulting as it is hilarious in how self-defeating it is.

To summarize: Shut the fuck up and more importantly stop pointing fingers until you stop gimping yourself, chump. A relic doesn't suddenly give you carte blanche to say what the fuck you please and act like it doesnt apply to yourself.

Sorry, your Dear Friend Therin started this after I commented on a related topic to this thread (Ixion Cloak) and its usage. He then decided to bring me into it and my gear choices after I said it was a good body for BRD. Sorry to dissapoint(sp)

Edit: I'm not the one who keeps bringing this "issue" up every time. Someone else always has to make some kind of "lulz" asshole comment to get it started.

I'm not going to argue in circles, he was pointing out the same thing I did: Shut your mouth about minimal increases being "arguably better" when theyre pretty fucking obviously NOT and especially when you're a gimp yourself. He's using a very specific example because it applies so directly to the person who keeps flapping their jaw.

The cape, on the other hand, is pretty solid, at least for other jobs. Best-in-it's-slot INT and MND, with -2 enmity and 20 MP thrown in for good measure. The only downside is that it has -hp to fuck with latent ring procs, but that's not an insurmountable problem, and not everyone uses Sorc Ring in every situation.

Not to derail the derail, but FWIW the back piece is not counted in activating a sorc ring. I know I know, but if you care read the testing done by Suiram in this thread: http://www.bluegartr.com/forum/viewt...p?f=31&t=32485 (2nd page primarily). Short version is that back, r.ring, convert gear, food, & hp+/-% gear do not count towards the proc. Oh & it's convert gear so it wouldn't have affected it anyways.

actually i think you misunderstood the post. the base HP to calculate the target HP from is before back, right ring, convert gear, food, and % gear. as such, if you had 1000 hp before you put on the cape and 980 after you put it on, you'd still be calculating the target from 1000. since the cape has HP>MP, it starts you 20 HP closer to the target making it easier to achieve.
