He could have mistook it for when the horn flashes and it pretty much spams nonstop until it stops flashing. (or whatever it does)

Breaking the horn probably prevents this from happening.

My account is being restored and I'm levelling up a nublet that's only Lv18 atm so I havent even seen Ixion yet and even I know that, via reading skills

Horn broke at 11% one day, he went down fast and without much incident.

Horn breaks at 50%, it grows back rather quickly, back to his normal self. Left before seeing horn break again (if it did).

anyone knows how long it takes for him to repop when some other LS wiped to him and dissappear?'

or does it count as "im sorry but your ixion is in another zone now" after any form of depop?

edit: 5 hrs since last group wiped, and no repop yet O_O we have 1-2 people in every zone atm >_<

edit2: popped at last, that took 5.5 hrs

Was scared 3 times last pop and hasn't popped for 2 hrs so far. So...there might be something to that >.>;

However the first day it popped we wiped to it and it repopped about 15min later. Weird...

...going on 3hours since the second time spooked, and still no new spawn on Fairy.

Since the implementation of the latest version update on Jun. 9, 2008, we have confirmed the following issue. Investigation and recovery work is currently underway.

That's what's been happening to us half the time we find it. Someone finds it, gets it on Wide Scan, keeps a close eye on it. Poof, disappeared off the radar without anyone even approaching it.

I actually watched it depop, it was really weird since I figured it HAD to be agrod to depop. It popped about an hour into the window in Fort KS (I-10 both times it popped there tonight), saw it on widescan, stayed far back while LS was gathering. Then it just disappeared. Not ran off at full speed, just vanished. Sucked too, pretty sure it wouldve been our LS claim at that point, did a /sea of the area and no other shell had a scanner in Fort KN at that time. 4-5 shells all competing for claim on Fairy, lewl.

Edit: During this time, it could not have been up for more than 5 minutes, was a really fast depop.

I absolutely love how one LS can't kill this NM based off another LS's work simply by claiming if the first LS wipes. I'm sure it's possible to throw the item in time to keep it around, but that actually requires coordination, preparation, and luck.

I also think it's funny how anyone can scare it off. But since I'm not after it, and I'm not affected, I don't have much room to speak there. <_< Frustrating as all hell I can imagine.
