Gotta admit he's right on that. I'd only just started farming for HQ Staves finally. Been a slow process but I'm 3/8 atm (Ice Dark & Wind) so right now I'm wearing NQ Staves until I can pony up the gil for the rest.

Tbh I hadn't even cared about getting HQ until a friend of mine talked me into finally leveling BLM.

Point being weather it's a big money HNM or you're camping something small for some pocket change doesn't make any difference. You need gil to function in this game sadly if you want to keep yourself well geared. Some players are content with just getting by while others will bust their asses to get only the best for their character.

I should clarify what bothers me: Camping things 'to keep it rare'. Throwing away BB items instead of giving them to friends who could use them without the friend spending a couple mil, same with algol. That kind of greedy bullshit it what bothers me.

I guess it's kind of off topic tbh, some of the things that were said just brought my annoyance out. I don't have a problem with high early prices really, it is one of the reasons things get discovered so quickly in this game.

By no means am I trying to gloat what-so-ever.... but simply trying to enforce a point. I have pretty much damn near the best gear aside from salvage gear. I've never once had to monopolize a damn thing and be a greedy bitch to do it. There's plenty of ways to make gil in this game without having to be a buddy fucker to do so. Will I camp an NM, HNM or whatever repeatedly day after day? Yes.... at least up until i have what it is i wanted from it, or got our fellow LS members what they wanted from it. Once those goals are met, we move on. It's simply disgusting to see ppl monopolize shit for the reasons that ppl have mentioned so far in this thread.... its really disturbing and sad.

Here's an interesting thing we noticed this morning:

LS CFH+Wipe last night, they had it down to 50-60ish, it wasn't killed overnight, and when we pulled it it was at 67% hp already. It's possible JP tired it and wiped too during the night. It ran around a few zones before we pulled it as others were scaring it off.

4/4 cape, 3/4 dagger, 1/4 cloak so far.

How you managed to get 4 capes when you killed all the 3 spawns?
Did one of the Ixions drop 2 capes?

Interestingly a couple nights ago, a LS here was fighting and someone CFHed it so they gave up. When another LS claimed it an hour later or so, it started at 67% as well. I think it was 58~60% when it got CFH and despawned. So it only regens to 67? Maybe something special happens at 66 or below that nobody has noticed, like that's when you become able to break the horn or something?

Yeah its good to take advantage of the impatient gil buyers who will buy sandals for 50m or cloak for 15-20m. Serves them right to pay that much, and it will drop so much in price by 2 months.

On the other hand...If you have 3+ or even 2+ of a certain Ixion Drop, and not 1 has been given out to people who been at the fights and really want the cloak/cape/sandals, thats really sad. People buying the drops and wearing the gear before the LS thats been killing it...

Look at the date of the posts. Then remember that this thing is on a 21-24 hr timer.

That's what we figured too until the above poster also wrote it despawned around 50-60 and also healed up to exactly 67%. What I was suggesting was that if it was not a coincidence that both Ixions regenned to that number, then his behavior for whatever reason (whether intentional or glitched) might be to recover HP in 10% increments like other mobs, but stopping at 67 rather than 100. I guess time will tell, though.

That's one hell of a contradiction. You're saying why not sell crap for more than it's worth while you can, yet moan about not giving any of the items to LS members? I'm trying to comprehend this ... no, let's not make 50m now for something thats gonna be worth 1m later -- let's give out items to our members that aren't game breaking? I'm all for giving shit to LS members first and all, but damn. I'm pretty sure you'd be the minority in many end-game linkshells there. 50m is near half a relic on most servers these days -- for a 2hour fight [scout, claim, gather, hold. etc]? what's wrong with you, lol.
