They don't have fuck ups like this very often; I doubt there's an accurate average. They said up to a week, obviously it will be sooner than that, chill.

I think you misunderstood one of my earlier posts; the SGM I got yesterday said it would take a week for the developers/testers to see if the ??? was a bug in the first place, and after that I should contact a GM again to ask for a restoration.

I was fairly surprised to wake up this morning and find that they had already removed it.

I think it has to do with what time it is in Japan. From the time you guys reported it last night to when it was fixed at 5am this morning PST, it morning and afternoon in Japan, the latter being 10pm JST. That gives plenty of time for them to have fixed the code during the day/early evening, and set the maintenance up for that time.

However, it is now 4:12am JST, and the developers and other handlers in Japan are asleep, and the team in California has still only been on the job a couple hours (on a Monday, no less). I think it's going to be a while until you get the email, at the very least several hours from now. Just a guess though.

Exceptions are always more entertaining than the standard. I'm as curious what Pande is like as anyone, but given enough time it will be an old and mundane NM. The game would be fine without any slip ups like Fleezurka, or glitched AV, or mobs that inexplicably cure players, and now Mr. ATNM Test goblin, but it would be a little more boring.
