Popped and wiped to Ob with 9 people. The new PLD spell works a treat though.

I think we rushed it. 3 mins from 100-40%, took him to the main room. Once he gets MM off he doesn't stop. :/ Trying again after RR... Some faggy JPs stole it after we wiped at 5%.

Best bet it to kite at 40% (whe he uses MM). Gravity lands easily without ele seal and you can bind him. You cannot sleep, repose or lullaby him. He's easy to kite and hack away at, but will use Magic Mortor even if you are at 45' range. It will so much less dmg (400 instead of 1700 to a PLD) but will still hit you.

Knockout and Slapstick will not proc if you are further than 10'. Knockout did 700 DMG to a buffed DRK pre-kite 40%.

Also, seem's Ob's ??? is a 5 min repop from when he dies. We popped right after JPs, and are popping another soon.

Any idea how much zeni the teir3 NM's are? Was Anataboga easy? I see you have nearly a full alliance there, were they all needed?

the tier 3 are 3k atm but no ones been buying so i presume 3500-4k+? It was easy with that alliance Very easy. I dont think thta many were needed but since no ones killed it we werent taking any chances.

just killed t3 soulflayer nm...what a BITCH, had links all over the place, he had like melee resist....etc....but we killed it and got oracles legs and uh then we all died and i had to hp to warp back to lot lol

so far i've popped and won ob, vulpangue, chigre, wulgara, and the soulflayer

edit: got a t4 seal...appears like you need all 3 of the different t3 wins for ONE hnm fight.

BLM bind/nuke strat is AMAZING. I bet 2-3 BLM can duo.trio this np. Magic Mortar did hardly any damage at max distance from caster.

Just about everything here is coming from the post on BG linked here, but im going to try to condense it a little and make it somewhat more managable to understand rather then reading 10+ pages so far.

Short version:
This looks to be semi einherjar like. There are 4 tiers of nms with Cerb/Khimaira/Hydra being at the top tier. You defeat a NM from tier 1, get a drop, and trade it in for a key item that will give you access to a tier 2 nm, kill, drop, trade for a key item for a tier 3 nm. It appears you need to kill all 3 nms from the third tier for a shot at cerb/khim/hydra.

Warning - lots of incoming copy/pasta from bg, with small additions to make the relationship clearer.

after all, given FFXIs history, the final NM of every expansions NM system rewards a title doesnt it? I think the Pandemonium guy hands one out...

I think that killing the 3 top tier HNMS and trading their drops will grant you access to the Pandemonium Warden who Can Drop the Pandemonium Gate Key (Anyone Know where this Gate is?) Im betting this may have something to do with this Nyzul Upgrade book too.

I think its located inside Halvung.. probably a B V2 style BC.. cos the 3 HNMs arent instanced, its just a island with slightly restricted access

It didnt take much, you guys can feel free to copypasta to the first page and edit where necessary, most of the work was done, I just looked at the dats to figure out the order for the unknown nm's so far. It was pretty clear, if you look at the dats the first "Pop item" listed is the Hydra one, followed by his 9 "prerequesites" - i use that term loosely because the tier 3 is the only one where all mobs need be defeated. Then cerberus, followed by his 9, then khimaira, followed by his 9. Now all we gotta fill in is the gear/weapon drops.

Bluemage: Kudos for that psycheflayer kill and grats on the oracles pants. What color seal did you end up getting so I can update my list

I have a seal from killing t3 soulflayer, it does NOT unlock t4. i speculate that you need THREE t3 seals to unlock 1 t4 HNM fight.
