I believe the patch notes said that the timer was "per vana'diel day", meaning you should be able to turn in more plates soonish.

Carrying out requests from a certain NPC will earn you points which, when accumulated, can be exchanged for NM trigger items. The cost of these triggers will fluctuate based on the corresponding NM's difficulty level and popularity among adventurers. A limit will also be imposed on the number of points that can be earned in one Vana'dielian day (one Earth hour).

I spoke to Ryo again after the day changed, she said the same thing for Sanraku's interest (diremites), just like the 'recommended fauna' (khimaira for me). I traded sanraku 2 more soul plates with diremite pictures, and got 54 zeni for each, bringing me up to 158 zeni. So I guess the following questions remain:

How do you access the offers for the harder ZNMs?
What does trading a picture of Khim (or the recommended fauna) get you, in terms of Zeni and unlocking offers?

and of course what they drop and where you fight them is unknown as well. I'm not really willing to get up 2300 zeni in 50 zeni increments at the moment so I'll post if/when I find out more info.

btw the other people I spoke to at the NPC and they were getting the same thing (diremites and khim) so perhaps it's server-specific, but we still don't know when his interests/recommended fauna changes.

Couldn't you conceivably just take 10 pictures of one mob then turn them in for the day? Or do they have to be 10 different ones?

So, reading up a little more, it seems like you have two categories that you can use for pictures. The "big money" shots, which are pretty fucking ridiculous, and range from things that will get you kicked out of an assault set to things that will get you kicked out of your HNM shell, and the generic shots, which give you a lot less Zeni, but which you can do on your own time. I find myself wondering if the cheap ones and the big ones have just two base values, or if there's a wide range of points you can get for each pic.

For some established HNMLs or Salvage groups, I believe Kings and Salvage are better/less 'annoying' options.


Note: I find more annoying the procedures posted on the last page than a 0/40 Deimos Cuirass, or the 3h at Aerys, etc

I think that if you've ever gotten guild points for a craft, you can handle ZNMs. Getting pankration points for camera and plates is easy, you don't even need a pankration mob.

The only Wyvern that you see in Mamool assaults is the Festive Firedrake in Blitzkrieg. Id put my money on that.

I bet you can take pictures of Assault or Besieged Khimaira and turn them in.

I went back after doing the 3 Qutrub plates and got 8 more.
54, 60, 64, 67, 68, 72, 73, 75 in the order I took them on the same Qutrub. So less HP = more zeni value. Guess it's to encourage people into actually fighting and not snapping a shot and running away.

I was able to turn them all in for points, bringing me to a total of 11 plates turned in today for a balance of 723z. Casey_ said there's a 10 plate/day limit, which wasn't the case for me.

I died/homepointed on my qutrub, because I wasted killing time by taking too many pictures, so I don't know if I'm going to continue farming plates today to find a cap.

Hmm...if you can get 500-700 zeni every day (every 1hr), then you could get enough to pop one NM every 5 hrs. That doesn't seem too bad and makes me feel drop rate may not be 100%. Perhaps killing them though gives you trophies you trade to other ???s for the higher tier NMs.
