One of the most balanced attempts at an endgame system by far.
My point was I don't like tier 4 beeing luck based like sea was, I thought I was kinda clear in my last post but I guess not. If you guys enjoy the randomness of the seal system then yay, more fun for you.

I didn't meant to be this negative, I just hoped this event would be random-free (beside item drops), I do like how you can take pics/pop low tier nm pretty much whenever you want.

Gabz, every single Seal up to HNM Tier 4 is 100% drop. You can easily farm up multiples of the single seal, by getting different NMs R/EX item. The fact that Tier IV NM has a lowered drop chance on their R/EX item is a bit saddening, yes, but it's balanced. PI still think SE will end up increasing their drop rates, but 100% would be too much I think.

Re: New ToAU NMs (post findings here)

Alright, so I read the stuff quoted about Nosferatu, and considering he's a DRK that seems to run just a tiny bit faster than normal running speed, I figure it's probably a clone of Ix'DRK. The 3-mob WSing summons only pose a threat if it's the Fomors using the Bind move (in which case I'd be screwed, if it landed). All DRK spells are single target, and so won't hit with Utsusemi up. I would worry about his charm move, but as far as I remember, it was conal with a relatively short range? The Doom TP move would never hit while kiting, since it's a gaze move and you have to be looking at him.

I'm going to try him tonight, probably.

Then comes the froggy.. Iriri Samariri. Other than the sticky pop area, and the dangers of pulling it to the Mamool Ja Staging Point zone (where it would be safe from any aggro with a nice kiting path), there are only 4 things I can think of to watch out for: Charm (20' range, generally unavoidable because to induce a TP move, you need to be in range to cast on it), the 4 little frogs that pop, Bindga, and Death.

Charm wouldn't be a problem if the only TP inducing moves you used came within a minute after Bio (for example, no nukes when there's <1min left until it wears off). Even better would be if the charm came because of the TP it got from Bio. Worst case scenario sucks, which is your Bio inducing a charm and it dying off unclaimed. Easily fixed by not casting any DOTs <2% or so and just finishing it with nukes. If it charms, at least you don't lose the pop.

The little frogs apparently depop after ~30 seconds? So it's just a matter of continuous running until they're gone. Bindga and Death (and Graviga, I suppose, but I think this one would be more managable) only come after Providence. Simple solution is to keep distance after Providence until after it tries to cast the spell - you should be able to guarantee yourself enough range so that the spell won't cast.

    Anything I'm missing?

Thanks everyone for the information regarding those two NMs. I ended up having a bunch of SMN friends offer to gank the Malboro. We went with 5 SMN and me on RDM/DRK. We didn't even need to kite it since we brought so many. Pulled it to the tower and then just threw wave after wave of Fenrir at it until it was dead. Gravity sticks pretty easily; and he never resisted Stun; which was only used when it decided to make a run at a SMN.

At first I thought the thing could be lowmanned without issue. I'm sure it still can. But its later two forms were noticably stronger than the first couple. One thing I found surprising was the sheer range at which it could sleep us with Sweet Breath. Fortunately, Extremely Bad Breath didn't appear to travel far enough to ever reach anything but the Fenrir; and it only ever shot down one Fenrir at a go. Very smooth and very fun fight. Hard part is just finding SMNs.

    - PLD in ls said summon moves can't hit you if kiting, but I'm pretty sure I got hit. However it was during the saccing part where everything was crazy so I might have been too close D;

    - charm seems indeed conal, although at one point both tanks got hit even though they were standing on opposite sides (that was fun). It might have been cause we were all bunched up in the hallway though

    - PLD tried turning for Doom move but still got hit ;/. However Fealty allowed him to resist multiple charms and dooms! We had decent success getting it off with 5-6 people spamming cursna, not sure how well holy waters would work.

Good luck, let us know how it goes!

Will do. My wife's RDM is pretty well geared, although I may pick up an HQ Wind Staff for this fight, right now I only have HQ Ice (since it was cheaper and I wasn't rich <_<). Was kinda hoping to get Bio III lv5 by now, but lv4 works great too, since it's the same duration as unresisted poison. And the Wind Grip from Nuhn last night can't hurt either.

Anyway, wish me luck, especially since I have to kill Reacton, Anantaboga, or Dextrose first <_< Both of which would be nice to solo/duo/trio (Reacton doesn't count), but without crimson, the dragon looks scary, and there seems to be 0 kite paths in Halvung.. unless anyone can suggest one.

another way of looking at T4 not giving 100% trigger drops is that in sea AV doesn't always pop after JoL dies...

this is firstly so that not everyone gets a chance at fighting the final tier mob...

secondly, if you have an LS that is going to try at a decent attempt at Pandemonium Warden, i'm fairly certain its gonna need to be quite large and that you'll have enough members that will want T4 drops to be able to do T4s repeatedly for them at the same time.

thirdly, not everyone will want to do T5.. sure it may give excellent eq, but if PandeWarden turns out to be anything kinda like AV then most people aren't even gonna bother...

and finally, T4 ZNMs are cake. like seriously..

Well, I think Dahak mobs move at about normal speed, right? So if you can find a spot to kite, I'm sure there will be somewhere where it will have crappy pathing. Also, if you try the thf+rdm technique you mentioned that you used with Nuhn, you should be fine (since you have movement speed+ on your thf.)

As for Nosferatu, before you even asked about it I was thinking about trying it. It seems like if you can keep good distance on it then you should be okay. The only thing I'm worried about is slipping up and letting it get too close and managing to get off a charm or something.

Also, about turning and still getting hit with doom, that can happen just due to lag. And for conal attacks hitting people on both sides, I've found that if it uses it on one person, and someone else immediately gets hate, it will, oddly enough, hit both people, even if they're on opposite sides.

Anyway, if I can get the pop items I'll probably either do Dea, Nosferatu, or some other T3 tonight. Will post how it goes (if I do something besides Dea).

Dragon horde lullaby seems to have a large range and usually is not cast on the person with hate, so take care on that.

Doesn't seem too bad. Even with a double attack critical, if you have SS up, the hits to wake you up shouldn't kill you. Unless you get unlucky and the first hit doesn't break SS, then it does Double+Crit. Just cast Ni as you wake up and continue running. To be honest, I'd worry most about Virelai when your shadows happen to be down.

Re: New ToAU NMs (post findings here)

Tonight we did 3x Tyger, completing our rounds of all of the T4(3 of each, 9 in total). This guy(Tyger) was actually somewhat close to the real thing. Key differences were slightly lower HP(maybe around 2/3 normal), immunity to Slow/Elegy(Even with ES, although this information is coming from someone else and not my personal experience), and complete lack of a Stun resistance. It can also use Fulmination beginning at 50% HP, not 35% like the real guy. There is a nice little trick we were able to figure out during the fight. Normally it's impossible to escape Fulmination as the area of effect is much larger than casting range(maybe 30').

    http://img131.imageshack.us/img131/3...1023304sd8.png

If you position your tanks like above, anyone in the area where all of the mages are standing will not be affected by Fulmination. The tanks are actually against a small ledge so Tourbillion doesn't send them flying all over the place. If you keep the number of melee on Khimaira within reason, you really shouldn't even need to stun Fulmination. It's not a large theat when it's only hitting four people.

We're now 0/9 for T5 pop items(TH4 every time) which honestly is quite retarded. The drop rate needs to be increased. It's ridiculous to have to fight 30+ T4 mobs(which includes farming all of the necessary and killing the 9 other NMs for every 1 T4 mob) for every T5 pop set.

Re: New ToAU NMs (post findings here)

    So! Anantaboga.

I just killed it, no drops. RDM/NIN x2, BLU/WHM, and my main char on THF for the pull and TH4. In my opinion, definitely NOT soloable. He runs a little bit faster than normal movement speed, which isn't a problem at all... at the start.

The pull is easy, he stops to cast songs about every 10-15 seconds I would say. Very often. He also doesn't appear to lose aggro, as I stayed at 45-50' during the entire pull and sometimes lost target a few times, and no sign of it flickering yellow. We pulled it to the southern bit of the island, through the tunnel, where there are no aggro mobs except some ghosts at night. There are some things sticking out of the ground you can use to kite it around, without any fear of the ghosts.

Before ~35-50% or so (perhaps before Soul Voice?), Maiden's Virelai takes 1 shadow, as one would expect. Horde Lullaby is the only threat, and even then it's not a big problem because it only hits for 200-250 or so in non-damage reduction gear. Instant Utsusemi and run, it'll cast another spell and you'll get your distance. It casts Paeon, but not often until low HP, and the effect isn't very strong anyway. It took us ~20min to kill with what we had. It casts all sorts of self-buffs which give you time to refresh, reapply DOTs, stoneskin, nuke, anything really.

The problem comes later in the fight, Maiden's Virelai started doing this:
    http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...Misc/charm.gif

Every charm after 35-50% or so (not exactly sure when it started) was like an AOE that wasn't AOE. That is, it wiped shadows, even though it was single target. It didn't have a very high charm rate, and the charm was only ~30 seconds, but I could see this causing problems for the soloer.

Bind lands easily, but its duration was sucking near the end and it did resist one. The first Gravity I cast resisted, and one later in the fight, but other than that it seemed to land for good duration each time (maybe 10-12 casts? Not many). Also, you can silence him, which I don't reccomend. I think he either gets TP regain at low HP, or when he's silenced - he started using Body Slam and Flame Breath (a total of about 6 TP moves) in the span that he was silenced. Nothing before that except 1 TP move around 60% (not even one at 24.9%). Silence (obviously) also stops it from slowing down by casting spells.

Hmm, actually even with the charm, it still might be soloable, assuming no one else claims it and it doesn't run back into mobs that aggro immediately. Maybe after 50% you could stagger DoTs to be safe? Although, I suppose that there are still problems that could occur. First of all it would definitely hit you once charm wore off, so you would have to deal with that, and if it immediately charms you again (and repeats that several times) there's pretty much nothing you'd be able to do before dying.

Anyway, thanks for going and trying it, I don't think I'll try soloing it after the information you gave me, maybe a duo though.

Well, if you're lucky, it might start casting a song right as you get uncharmed, I don't know how his AI would work solo. He doesn't run back into aggro mobs right away since there are no aggro mobs close by. Worst case is he wanders into the tunnel, and you'd be uncharmed well before he got to any mobs there.
