Re: New ToAU NMs (post findings here)

Just a quick question about Anantaboga. After you uncharm does he aggro you? I've noticed with a few of the new pop NMs they don't aggro at all, even mobs that'd normally aggro. If he doesn't aggro you after you uncharm, then you should be able to space yourself before starting kiting up again.

many of the NMs don't aggro but... if the person who popped it is within a set distance of that mob, it'll become claimed and aggro that person immediately. Saw this happen on some other linkshells fighting other NMs when they wiped they'd start raising, then they raise whoever popped it and the mob would go claimed right away and go right for the person who popped it, no questions asked.

This is only the case for certain NMs. Case in point, it doesn't happen with the Puk. It certainly does with Cheese Hoarder Gigiroon, but the Puk appears to be different. It (the Puk) does, however, seem to have unconditional party/alliance hate. One of our WHMs was still at the pop point when we zoned it after deaggroing (to keep it at the zone), and it went right after the WHM, who only just Reraised a few seconds before we zoned.

Keeping this in mind, Anantaboga will probably cast on you as its very first action if it does auto-claim. If it doesn't auto-claim and doens't aggro, then you're golden, and this is definitely a soloable mob (although at the end I'd watch out for DOT death).

Re: New ToAU NMs (post findings here)

Asking some questions about Experimental Lamia.

Ok. So everyones strat revolves around zoning her and killing the babies. My question is, which zone? Since there's two, Is there someone on the upper floor (before the first drop off) zoning her on that zone, or are they on the bottom floor (past the second drop off) and zoning her through that zone? I just tried this with my group, we had about 12 people. I figured plenty to kill it.. apparantly not. We fought here just in front of the tunnel leading to the bottom floor zone. She didn't spawn with her babies like we expected, so we had to DD her down about 25% for them to pop. When they did, because everyone in the ally had agro on her, we all zoned and let our kiters try to take over. Well they very quickly got massacred and shit went to hell and back. people started claiming the NM when they shouldnt, Ephramadian Shades were agroing, The babies were taking people out.. Slowly we managed to get just the RDM baby down here while one person basiclaly kept Saccing himself in order to keep the lamia from depoping on her ???. We got the RDM down.. and shortly after, the lamia depopped because the sac had no more MP for Reraise.

Now... What the hell. What zone was everyone using? How were you avoiding Skeletons agroing resting, or Shadows agroing Blood/Sound? How did you allow kiters to grab hate once the babies spawned? Please help, i'm now sitting with her pop item in whitegate and my LS refuses to fight her again for a while, and i just want a solid strat to i can down this whore for my boots soon.

    Many thanks.

Re: New ToAU NMs (post findings here)

That's pretty strange that it popped for you guys at 25%.. Popped for us, and many others from what I read at like 99%(might be time based I thought).

We had everyone, except the popper and a PLD go drop down the second ledge and stay in that tunnel(the zone). The popper and extra person would be in a PT by themselves, outside ally of course. Train it to the zone, and have both people zone. They should disband party, and take turns zoning the lamia. It had popped the summons at this point for us. When it does, a person from the main ally/PT should claim one of the helpers. They do NOT link with experimental lamia, or any of the other helpers. And none of them aggro at all. You can safely kill one of the helpers in the tunnel, and the lamia will walk by ignoring you completely. The two people that are zoning experimental lamia, should always claim her, not the helpers when they zone.

Once you get the zoning down, it's a pretty easy fight. Still not sure why it popped for you guys at 25% though. Hope this helps.

Pull it to the south zone and have 2 people drop out of the party and stay solo. Fight it down until it pops the babies and then everyone in the alliance zones their hate. The 2 solo people keep it at the zone while the main alliance picks off the babies. Killed it with 7 people like this.

Zone trick is nice but not needed. You can kite Lamia as PLD pretty easily, she can ranged attack non PLD for almost 500 damage, so be careful. RDM can easily land bind as well. We had a PLD + RDM in alliance kite around the field watching out for fomor. The rest of us just peeled a baby and melee it down. On vent we said when they were at 5% so the PLD and RDM could turn their backs. Charm only works if you are looking at her. Over all this is a very easy tier III fight. (lol orobon)

Some questions about T4 this time. Can anyone who has killed Tyger confirm if he resists Slow/Elegy out right? I find it odd that they'd make him harder than his HNM Version with Tinnin being a total joke. Also how are nukes vs Sarameya and Tyger? What I'm asking is, are they half damage like Cerb/Khim or are they Full Damage like any old HNM?

I think what people mean by them being an HQ version, is that they actually put up a fight. Cerb/Khim are zzz boring until a certain %, and even then, Cerb is just as boring. Khim can get a little fun though :3.

War Lynx did that to me, so I have assumed most NM's would do that. Popped before I knew what it was, beating it up nicely, then POW Blink of Peril > 8 Hp > Dead. Passerby comes up, tosses me a raise while the Lynx is a good ways down the hill at the ??? facing completely the other way...

POW it turns red, runs up and kills me as they're tossing me a Cure after the raise.

Going to try for Achamoth today.

Would having a thf/war voke flee PD to zone, and pull the NM off in the side tunnel in halvung near the thickets exit, and have party kill Nm, with 2 vokers kiting adds to zone?

Any good info on Nuhn? I know like two posts have been made about it in this entire topic but my group is waiting and I don't have time to dig through it entirely.

They pop slow enough that one person is sufficient to zone the adds if you fight close enough. You might also want to disband party so mages resting don't take aggro.

What I noticed was that they would pop purple then go yellow in about 1 second.

the NM will stop to cast buffs often, so if a thf is training to the zone, the NM will be far behind: it's better to have two people pop it: one to pop and flee away the adds, the other to claim the NM and walk it to the rest of the party. It took a good 2 minutes for the NM to reach the zone after our thf trainer had zoned

So As wizerd said, you can add Anantaboga to the list of NMs on which the kite dot strategy works. Gravity lands, bind doesn't. He keeps casting song, a rdm can solo it np. We duoed it rdm+thf but the thf did almost nothing since charm resets hate. Rdm+blm should kill it fast. We pulled it on the other side of the island, in the "safe" wamoura camp. Lots of room to kite there.
