Arcana literal meaning = mystery or secret.
Arcana is one of two accepted plural forms of "Arcanum"
Edit although I'm not sure it makes sense under that meaning spoken as "Arcanas", that would kind of be double plural...

what do you mean didn't do anything? you can still trade in plates of mobs that aren't the flavor of the week and get points.

Went to blow 3000 ISNM to get plates of the "orobon that dwells in Talacca Cove", all for a measly 66 zeni.

Then bought another plate, that gave 61 zeni, both were at 100%. As far as i can tell, it doesn't unlock anything but could be too early to tell.

Then bought another plate, that gave 61 zeni, both were at 100%. As far as i can tell, it doesn't unlock anything but could be too early to tell.

did you check to see if Sanraku had a listing for "Nuhn" after trading the orobon plate?

Hmm, just traded my Hellcage Butterfly to the ??? at (F-5) in Wajaom and nothing happened. Someone posted earlier that this was the spawn point for Vulpangue and the ??? says that broken insect wings are scattered all around, so it seems like it should be, but nothing happened.

Anyone else popped this one yet or have clues? @_@

Just double checked after zoning, didn't see Nuhn still. "Gaining access to islets" showed up with him though but thats just the same as what everyone else got.

I mentioned earlier that there is an orobon NM that you can fish up from Talacca cove. Are people convinced it has to do with the ISNM instead?

hmm... well it appears the currently available NMs drop rare/ex items that trade in for key items, perhaps possessing a certain number of these unlocks a higher tier NM?

anyone who's traded in their rare/ex NM drop care to check to see if they have more than the initial 9 offerings?

after trading the Brass Borer Cocoon, and getting the key item, i check the NM list again and i now have 3 new NM's.

Anataboga, Reacton and Dextrose, each costing 3400 zeni. have a total of 12NM's on the list.

I then went back solo and took some pictures of the exact same mob but when someone else had it claimed (difference day) and traded them al back in for 1 point each...

See the text of the picture posted, it seems to suggest the orobon from ISNM is correct, not to mention there are no fishable NMs in jade sepulcher
