There were many many theories to what would happen. Most were stupid; some were unlikely and a few were possible.
the ??? in Aydeewa was the one we thought, but as with 99% of ??? in the damn game if you trade the wrong item it dosnt pop anything right? so we thought hell no harm in trying the easy to get to one! We didnt forsee this because it shouldnt of happened...we tried trading random items before the key, Nothing happened. so hell we tried it, Goblin popped, someone killed. nothing else.

This seems to be a SE fault.....

lets just hope the GM can restore the key....

The only case of a "???" that doesnt give back wrong item is the goblin archeologist, and he accept stackable item only. You could include conquest npc to some extent I guess. It's not their fault if they lost item to a glitch

Anyway, this is mostly SE's fault because obviously that isn't supposed to take your pop item. Either that or the ??? isn't even supposed to be there. It is partially this LS's fault, but mostly SE.

Obviously looking back now, as I said before, it was silly to trade it to Wajaom when the NPC said Aydeewa, but I saw NO harm in trying. That was it. I thought it might be something, and it wasn't. Mistakes, happen. Everyone fro my group that's posting is just upset at the situation, and thought we would receive more sympathy from you guys ( well, I was thinking that anyway). Not a "hey your ls is stupid" response.

i agree with therin, we screwed up, but we didnt think wed lose the item if we didnt lose other items that we traded to it... and thats not what were meaning, were just saying that its annoying to be bagged on for it, we dont think we did more work than you guys so get that out of your head. we got the pop item~ coulda been any LS that tried but we got lucky, end of story. ~ We'l keep you guys updated.

It is their fault, and it is SE's fault. Had you simply said "yes, we realize it was not a good idea to try the wajaom woodlands spot, but we still should've at least kept our key", all would be fine and good in my eyes. Some of you are saying that, and kudos to you for it. The fact that others of you are pinning ALL of the blame on SE, when you did not follow their hints to begin with, is what makes you look bad to me.

That is the position you're in now, like it or not. Regardless of what should have happened, you ignored the hints in the game and lost your key as a result. The mob is obviously a bug, but some of your insistences that this is all SE's fault and you did everything perfectly right only to get hosed, makes you look bad. To me anyway.

I hope you get your item back, it'd be real shitty if you didn't, but I don't trust GMs either, so who knows what will happen?

Now, i admit to laughing a little bit when I read what was going on, but some of the attitudes in here are pretty shitty. I mean, wow, hoping they don't get it back at all? SE isn't totally to blame for this, but I can understand the logic behind "maybe it's like Sandworm BC" and such, teleporting you to a seperate area in the Subterrane, AND the fact that in pretty much every other instance the item would not have been lost upon trading it. It's not like they traded it to a ??? in sea or sky. Seriously, why the douchebaggery?

Its more the scale of the situation that people are ridiculing you for. For a first attempt at a new NM, with no previously learned "don't do this" things, it's assumed that you'll follow what you're supposed to do from the NPCs without playing science experiments on it. I think people just see it as "yeah, we can see your (mistaken) train of thought on maybe like a tier 1 ZNM pop, or something not that rare, but why even remotely possibly risk losing a pop item no other LS has ever obtained before" and that's why they're responding as they are.

It's like, if your LS got the first JoL pop set (remember when those weren't 100% drops too?) and everything pointed to popping it at the JoL ???, but your LS decided "you know, call me crazy, but I wonder if JoL will pop in La Theine if we trade the set there instead?" It's just common sense that when things haven't been determined as what's safe to do or not, you don't risk taking guesses, even if "99% of the time nothing happens", and just follow through with what the game is asking.

Maybe in a couple weeks or months people would have started trying new things with the pop items, and then someone would have found this out, but people would make fun of them just as bad for "lol you didn't pop it at the right ???, everyone knows it pops there" so don't feel that bad. People are just more annoyed at you playing games with the first pop anyone's ever gotten is all, when they were expecting drops and fight details.

Aka, they were hoping you'd eat the deathgas and all that EXP loss so they don't have to, hahaha.
