I think these requirements are harsh yet fair. Hopefully SE does a better job on these set of relics than last time. If these weapons are just as good as the better relics and better than the pointless ones, I see no problems. This is meant to be the highest tier of play. SE has given us a welth of casual friendly content in this update and just about every update since Limbus. You can't really complain, especially since most of requirements are stuff you are doing or should try to be doing(Assault, Nyzul, Salvage... Einherjar might be difficult I guess). To repeat, this isn't meant for everyone. Not everything in everything game is.
EDIT: Pretty sure EQ never held 1 million at a time. The MMO market was not so large back in the day and I think FFXI even outsold it.
The point so many people are trying so hard to make is, the thing you and Sath were talking about is already in the game. It's called Dynamis Relics, and many people are still finishing, doing, completing, enjoying theirs. People were hoping for a System that was "like" dynamis but not as restricting. Something where you could upgrade a cool weapon, and eventually feel acomplished. As it stands I would rather go back to sponsoring more dynamis, and most logical people probably would at this point "IF" you have to do -every- one of the things that is listed. Again, if it's 1, 2, 3? It will still be pretty hard but you won't see as many people complaining. These new Nyzul weapons basically pertain to the same crowd that would get a Dynamis weapon, and upgrade one, and now they are giving those people even MORE of them, when they needed to give a option like this to people who can almost but not quiet acomplish that task.
Again, it gets down to who they are servicing, and like it or not on a business standpoint they are making a bad decision creating these weapons for the same crowd as dynamis users -IF- (again, we still don't know everything set in stone yet, this is based on assumption and speculation) you have to complete all the tasks at hand.
If they would have added a Weapon system or made this particular weapon system like the NM system they implemented it would be full of win. And not all the content lately has been casual play friendly, even if it has, like I said, much of it is watered down. People want a "Medium" something inbetween Campaign and Dynamis Relics... That's the point most people are trying to make. Some kind of fun system for them, this would have been perfect for them, even if the weapons were not that "groundbreaking" it would give people something to work for.
