Re: Footwork - New MNK JA info

It is now someone's supreme duty to login, see how bad they nerfed the Slow and Store TP on footwork, and tell me how much more suck it is now, so I don't have to go home, login, and find out myself.

I'm fighting a bird now. I don't see any changes to footwork.

Use asuran, if it doesnt give 43% tp back this JA just got mostly useless imho, then use DK and check that.

TP return on normal hits is same 12% as it was before? What about utsusemi?

I boo you for your non having of asuran.

10k says they left all the other store TP there, and just ninja edited Asuran's TP regain.

Having haste back will be nice tho, now I wont have to melee in a lollifebelt

33 is my highest tp return of the 10 asurans i did on EP mobs in full acc gear, at about 1kish dmg, so I don't doubt that I didn't miss. Recast timers are back to normal though. 23% haste gear on and 35 sec recast on ni. Idk if haste now effects melee.

Thanks Cream, I can go do errands now instead of wanting to rush home and try it myself.

Looks like they only gave the full Store TP to the first hit of asuran... according to mathmonk's (sorry cant recall the poster's name atm) formula, and your simple testing I think that's about safe to say...

/drg asuran spam will be tricky to pull off, but not impossible, and not effecting recast times of utsu is win, I think they actually partially made this JA more balanced, at least we wont die as much while FW is up, lol

30.56s -> 5 full attack rounds with footwork up, 25% haste.
40.46S -> 5 full attack rounds with footwork up, 0% haste.

31, 31, 32 TP return on asuran with footwork up, 0 store TP, 0 DA trait.

13% TP on the first kick starting with 0 TP, no store TP trait.

This makes no difference regardless. Asuran can't DA

2.whatever normal tp return when receiving physical damage.

DK returned 27% tp with just rajas/brutal. Yay.

Re: Footwork - New MNK JA info

    You're right.

26% TP return on DK. No store TP no DA.

So looks like the first two hits retains the same 13% per hit, but additional hits are 1 TP each, hidden store TP or not.

Test with haste gear says the base delay is still 480dly, and 25% haste gear brought delay down to around 360. So haste gear actually works appropriately now.

Re: Footwork - New MNK JA info

Seems like footwork is generally 485 delay with 0 haste and it generates the same amount of tp as if you are using a 485 delay weapon, which is around 13.2-13.3.

I would say that this is pretty powerful. You basically turn into 2 hand weapon mode on top of having a 8 hit ws and max haste in gear. Pretty awesome IMO.

The lacking part of this JA is no acc boost, as in 2hand weapons. Otherwise go go regular for DoT

Anyone tried hundred fist with it yet?

If haste works now, that means perhaps now that it can stack with hundred fist?

    Base attack 373
    w/ Footwork 409 (9.65% boost)
    w/ Footwork + Berserk 502 (34.58% boost)
    w/ Berserk 466 (24.93% boost)

    They stack.

    Seems like

    373 * 1.1 = 410 +37 increase on base
    373 * 1.25 = 466

    466 + 37 = 503

Re: Footwork - New MNK JA info

Sounds like we have to start again testing the ability and its limits. I'm kinda happy about the fact we can now blink tank while footworking, I'm gonna try that on my next Salvage boss. So a few questions that arose in my mind:

    1) Does +delay/+damage on main weapon affect kicks speed/damage? (if I recall about before +damage affected WS damage, except dragon kick)
    2) Does haste gear affect kicks speed? (it now affects recast speed at least)
    3) Noticed anything special about WS, aside from the lower TP return?
    4) Two handed weapon 1:0.75 ratio bonus?

And I read TP got from when we get hit is less now?

Re: Footwork - New MNK JA info

10 kicks, no Store TP, 130 TP. 13.0 per kick = 480 delay.

Junhanshi Habaki are no longer +Kick Attack rate, but instead kick damage. Update notes aren't very clear on what the details of the kick boot changes; plus it says they're changing the wording on them in a later update, so...

Tested on Tiny Lycopodiums outside Windy [S]. With Junhanshi Habaki, non-crits were 174-214, with a 260 crit. With fumas, damage was 99-147 with crits from 190-196. Assuming I was pushing 2.4 pDiff at the top end of the non-crits, 214 - 147 = 67 / 2.4 = 27.9. High likelyhood that they are now +25 dmg kick boots.

Testing again with 10 kicks, +6 Store TP. If we are still getting +180 Store TP on top of the base 300 value of 4.7, new TP rate should be 13.4. If we are getting the raw 13 TP per hit of a 480 delay weapon, new TP rate should be 13.7.

Result of 10 kicks: 137 TP. So new base delay is in fact 480, and TP is calculated directly from that. No bonus Store TP in the background.
