yeah maybe I should have explain that i wasnt sure if Hakke worked like the stuff you can sell since it's rare/ex, maybe it was another kind of effect, that's why I wasnt sure if testing on stuff you can sell was the same as on Hakke.
But yeah you're right![]()
I definitely did not say Hakke when I said I sold both pairs of my testing Habaki. I do not plan on getting Hakke Habaki nor testing them either after this latest update. From testing right now it is obvious that all of the Habaki are Kick Damage +25 and no Kick Attack rate increase. If SE does decide to put Kick Attacks +25 back on all 7 pairs of shoes then I will look into getting the Hakke Habaki.
If it's kick attack+25 for all of the habaki then I definately wouldn't use Hakke because the stats on that sucks.Originally Posted by Raithen
Wait SE didn't put something in the game that's better than the item they made for the same spot, in 2004?
OMG WUT IS HAPPENING F SE LETS GO PLAY WOW OK?!?!
Welcome to Final Fantasy XI, enjoy eating 10k needles.![]()
Thanks for the amazing post, Cpt. Sarcasm. The concept is that when high-level, group-required-NM-drops are added, they are generally an 'alternative' to ancient, already existing gear. There's no point in adding a piece of gear that is simply, and literally, a downgrade from a piece of equipment most people have had for the last 4 years. Game designers are aware of this shit far more than you want to think, so with all that logic, there's bound to be something about this (higher level) boots for MNK kick attacks that make them a viable alternative even if you already have Dune Boots.Originally Posted by Burnsy
The most logical thing is that it's slightly less damage than Dune Boots while upping proc rate. It's called a trade-off. I'm sure most people how a lot of equipment is based on that concept. It's the whole reason that "shit is situational."
mnk sucks!
I would rather agree with the guy that is pissed of at SE, they didnt gave us an alternative, they gave us crap instead as most of the time, the only time they did a semi ok job on releasing new armor for mnk it's on the salvage update, all other are not update or alternative gear, it's just sucky gear. Also it would be time to put BB items in some other place, they did it for sky abju but dont think it's worth for Mnk bb items.
Nin got lots of dual wield enhancer but we dont have any martial arts enhancer.
At least the good news is that we have a new body to look at, but again it's not an alternative to what we already have, it's a fucking upgrade and they put war on it even if it's a far-east armor which was until now reserved to sam/nin/mnk with the addition of Pup. Soon they'll release a waste similar to Black belt for war/drk/sam and mnk will be completely owned.
And to close this, mnk is still the only job without a proper RSE. So yeah.
Even if we had our update (hachiryu Haramaki + Shenlong Bagh are def. nice), I stilll think SE could have done more that just footwork and some crappy new feet.
Man you guys are getting me all depressed and shit. I'm trying to stay positive, but the proof is in the pudding.![]()

did you mean JSE, and if so: rng, drg (unless you really wanna count the dragon scale gear) and all 5 new jobs still lack any JSE setAnd to close this, mnk is still the only job without a proper RSE. So yeah.
MNK doesn't need more attack speed, they need a charged boost system, with a 3 minute cool down, and to have the pdif calculation change more when footwork is active. JSE is crap, and there's no reason to change BB items at all, because it's should remain a somewhat difficult quest to complete. (in before it's not hard to bot a HNM)Originally Posted by miokomioko
Ok maybe I exagerate a bit, but KS99 turtle is really hard to convince people to do it, like really really hard.
As for nin as far as I know, nin is more toward a tank than toward DD. And they dont suck at all in DD, sure not on par with mnk but still doing pretty good.
As for JSE you're right lol even if Barone stuff could be considered drg JSE except that it got war on it, as for the new job I dont even count them in, they dont even have AFv2 yet lol. But yeah you're right, rng could complain too they didnt go any cool things for some times now. But rng is on the verve of extinction, every WW will tell you.
Dont get me wrong I still love my job but still a bit sad when you see how they pimp out Sam and War, hell war even have movement speed + now.
Sorry I dont use bot or other stuff like that. It' snot hard to buy money from CGF neither and then buy item from demo but know what I wont do it because I dotn play like that.
I didn't imply you did Kimy, I just know that someone is going to say something about botting Kings.
It's nice to see some people have some integrity when it comes to the BB quest, but for now I'm going to![]()

Paluhwan is still some of the better accuracy pieces MNK can wear as an easily obtainable set that any unskilled nub can eventually get by spamming the easiest Tier1 Assaults. Your comparison falls a little short since I'm referring to NM drops that take multiple people/effort. I just don't know if they meant Lil' Apkallu to be easier to get the drop from than Sabotender Bailarina. One is always up, the other can be popped whenever. Kinda' even there. One spams 1,000 Needles which is a joke with 4~5 people + pet jobs with Dune Boots at a 100% drop, the other spams that deadly wing blade AoE shit and is like 10~25% drop? I honestly consider Dune Boots easier to obtain.
wtf, is someone here saying that full usukane for monk is a side-grade?
A sidegrade that you will never ever want to take off unless using Footwork.Originally Posted by aurik
Yes, I think we can all agree this someone is a bit off his rocker in this respect. I think the only thing I agree with that Burnsy has said is that Footwork really needs to be treated like a 2-handed weapon while in effect. The idea that it would fix monks hitting big things didn't pan out. Kicking monsters like Kirin is still pretty worthless unless you've got 2 bards, at which point why aren't you zerging it? I guess it's still nice to give things a little bit less TP.Originally Posted by aurik
Is full usukane still optimal with this in the game?
Hachiryu Haramaki Rare
[Body] All Races
DEF: 52
Accuracy +20 Attack +20
Critical Hit +5%
Enhances "Zanshin" Effect
Set: Enhances "Store TP" Effect
Lv. 75 WAR / MNK / RNG / SAM / NIN
Can your WS's Crit?
Haramaki makes my penis weep for the RR joys it could bring, but for TP, I think I'd rather have the 25% Haste, and significant defensive boost on a BB monk from full Usu.
