Just want to list a few things.

Like the post above stated, horde lullaby is not effected by this ability.

I'm pretty sure it has the same hate level as a boost. Tested with with a monk's boost, warrior's provoke, and paladin's flash. We were all naked. Mob was bouncing around with pianissimo and boost.

It has the same range as etude songs. Since the distance thing is broken, does anyone know the distance of etude?

I hate this new JA as brds do not deserve it. Friggin bard in my ls uses it for self target mazurka so nobody else gets it.

Anyway this JA is nice for bards who want to stand out of range for lone tank mobs, it's rather nice, use JA > sing song from out of AOE range but not hitting other people with unneeded songs > repeat. Unless of course it doesn't go further than normal song range.

It's great for Fafnir as someone already mentioned so the melees can have 2 songs and the mage in the party gets their double ballad too :D

I use this while duoing with my uncle's NIN. NIN + BRD/WHM, so I give him double March, then overwrite Advancing March with my own Ballad II whenever I need to cure him. That way I don't have to run away from him to Ballad myself.

This might be useful at merit camps with SCH main heal. They always run in to AoE buff which makes it difficult to Ballad.

The range is huge, its the same as the max range for cure spells etc. So you can stand a mile out and drop songs on tanks etc.

This job ability is pure sex for merits. It saves infinite time on ballads. Instead of having to run back behind the mage, you can sing 2 melee songs, nail the RDM with a ballad 2, and continue pulling mega chains. I also used it plenty during assault, during the run and on the boss for melee. No more discharge owning my song at 60%!

I think everyone is missing the best part of this JA. Yes, you can stand out of range of deadly aoes. But more importantly, now you can stay up front meleeing and keeping melee songs, single target ballading the wussy mages in the back.

On a serious note, this JA works great with macro book swapping. You can have a "Pianissimo" macro that switches me to an identical macro set except all songs go from <me> to <stpc>.

I imagine that in a meripo, the non puller bard can just sit up there and melee while still keeping up songs.

For awhile I had debating just macroing /p No. and /pcmd leave for when people asked me to pull as COR, lol. The QD charge change made it slightly better, but it still sucks.
