going from ps2/360 to computer

ive been playing since 360 beta. and my xbox just died on me for the 10th time. so if im considering FFXI on my laptop.
im nervous about getting my char hacked if i do. also should i install windower? thx

Use Firefox with Noscript and Adblock installed, and there is no chance you're getting keylogged.
Windower is perfectly fine.

If you have trouble with keyboardss like I did (Played on PC ages ago but switched to ps2 when it released, and played that for two or three years) then switched back to PC, I had a hard time adjusting back to just the keyboard, so I went out and bought a xbox controller for PC and it was great.

I played on the PS2 since it came out for it up until about a year ago. There was no freaking way I could adjust to moving with the keyboard, so I went down to Radio Shack and bought a PS2 to USB adapter for like 14 bucks and just play with my PS2 controller on my compy now.

Like posted above, just use Firefox, No Script and Adblock and you'll be fine.

AVG + don't click ads on ffxi websites. (ffxiah had a few ads linking to keylogging sites)
