Can the boss be beaten on tier 1 and tier 2 with 18? Or just farming the regular mobs?

Depends on what you get and party setup.

For tier 1, two waves and Buffalo would probably give you a hard time. Not that its hard, just time consuming.

For tier 2, three waves and either corse or frog boss would be difficult for 18. Again, they can kill it without a problem, just it'll be hard for them to kill it under 30 minutes. Frogs and Corse is easy but they are annoying and move around a lot to waste your time.

They still show it at a theater here every Friday at midnight, haven't been in probably 8 years though :D

I hope they did it properly and wrote a V on his forehead. I've met a lot of people that said "Oh, I saw part of that on TV once, it was boring..." "No, you really haven't seen it."

We used to have showings every Friday and Saturday night, although the theater did have a few restrictions: no fire, and had to toss popcorn instead of rice to make it easier for the cleanup crew. I don't know if that still goes on anymore; last I heard it was only put on every Halloween at some random venue by a different group.

I'm happy with the changes; we're not exactly a big budget LS (no assistance with relics, LS-owned kclubs, or anything like that), so it's nice to lose less money on Einherjar, and faster ichor farming is definitely welcome. Now I'm just waiting to lose less money on CoP dynamis!

Did a Tier 3 yesterday and here's some info on the mob behaviour after the update.

Buffalo - Linked by sight

Black Dragons - Linked by sound

it seems Liquified Einherjar (Puddings) link by sound. Our PLD flashed one and we ended up with around 8-9.

We did Rossweisse's last night, got 2 large waves of ghosts + skeles...the ghosts and skeles did link, however it seemed to be a very small sound radius, but we did on several occassions come back with 2-3. If nothing else it was nice to be able to go BRD/WHM and help out curing without being constantly afraid of being beaten down by 12 mobs, though keeping up with pulls was somewhat tough at times.

Timed out with 2 of each mob type and Marid boss left, our other BRD aggrod the boss but I couldn't tell if it was a straight aggro or somehow linked to her pull. 840 ampoules, great for a Tier 1 though it really did seem like there were more than 12 of each mob type, more like 15-18 but idk.

I realize that only one person needs true access to Odin, while everyone else needs one clear from each wing.

My questions is about access to normal tiers. If my group has completed tier1, and part of tier2, is it possible for us to enter tier3? Or does at least one person (the lamp holder) have to have tier2 cleared?

Only the Lamp Breaker needs access to the Chamber for Tiers 2 and 3. We had someone on their first Einherjar run ever come with us on a T3. The Lamp Breaker has to enter the zone before anyone else, and then anyone regardless of Feathers can enter.

Wish I could've been there, sounds like the run went a lot smoother than usual with the new linking system.

I was there! And yes, it was tons smoother, I could actually keep track of all mobs at all times on BRD, we had to be quick with pulling though. I guess not getting that stupid douchey marid helped also. I'll have that Animator+1 in no time.

dunno if it's been posted but there's no lower limit on ampoules either. did t3 on thursday and got 12 frogs upon entry, dverger after those died (really easy t3 lol). Got 960 ampoules which is 40 less than the old 1000 for tier3s what a gip

Today we got 12 taurus, 12 frogs + Dvergr boss and his minions for a total of grand 1440 ampoules.

That's exactly what we got, only it was 6 Taurus, 6 Eyes, 12 Frogs and Cerberus. 1440 max.
