To those who didnt get sucked in: what WOTG mission are you on? A LS on Ifrit was fighting Sandworm and the only 2 people that didnt get sucked in are on "Back to the Beginning". The rest of the people in the LS were farther ahead in missions. I'm trying to figure out why some arent being sucked in. I dont think its just a glitch.

I'm on 'A timeswept Butterfly' and Steelknight Emblem, not sure why i didn't get sucked in, at first i thought it was if you had hate when it used the TP move.

That doesnt explain why PD on Ifrit had a NIN (tank) and a RNG not get sucked in.

Also, Sandworm took its sweet time sucking us in. We didn't get drawn in until 5% even though we started delaying and feeding it TP at 40%, and were afraid we would kill it first lol

Ever thought of Sandworm dropping some items now as well since apparently it is quite hard to beat him because you will get swallowed before he hits the ground. He gave a title afterall and there was a Sandworm Fang in the DATs when he was added iirc.

I don't think there's anything to be made from either of the two sandworm items yet. Most of the new gear has been found in other places.

I was one of 2 tanks and I didn't get sucked in. Black screened like a zone but just stood there like a moron for 20 seconds before I realized I could move around and cast spells... my ally getting raped by guivre atm ;/ this stinks

for debugging purposes I had hate and was in the middle of casting, but others were casting and still got sucked in. I was only one left out.

Yeah i got the exact same thing, i could run around and do anything but my screen was black. My LS thought i disconnected lol

So far everyone not allowed has been tanking? I see a Ranger not allowed as well. So what I'm hearing is that he doesn't eat people he doesn't like, spits out all the tough guys. Just gonna toss this up, maybe its been said maybe I'm retarded. But what if Enmity has something to do with it.

Was up for us within 24h but shell that fought it yesterday stunned Doomvoid and it /emo'd out and suicided after that.

Just throwing a baseless thought out there but maybe he doesn't suck in certain people due to accumulated hate from killing Pixies or Lycopodium. I know pixies are getting killed at a decent pace now for Ixion so maybe it is a possible link. It could be something simple as the amount of enmity you have on sandworm as well. Wouldn't suprise me if it was due to killing pixies.

How are people fighting it? Trading hate kiting around a physical obstruction has seemed easiest the few times I've fought it pre-patch, but yesterday at 40% we grouped up to his mouth while we damaged it because we were (or at least I was) paranoid about people not getting pulled in. If people are kiting the whole time maybe it's just a certain range, and the tank with hate didn't get pulled in because he was too far away, likewise for the RNG?

Just a thought about people not getting sucked in. Maybe its something simple, like he has an appetite, and won't eat more than a certain weight. People exceeding that weight get dropped? Ala how different race combinations work on the weighted plates in Quicksand.

Fought this, all 12 members were pulled in. I came NIN since we only had one PLD when it popped, so both tanks made it in. Got Guivre with Mail, Skull and Tathlum drop.

Edit: Some members (pld at least) didn't have sigil, I did.

got guivre, crap ensued, wiped on bridge, couldnt recover, finally recovered, figured out how to fight it, got to 8%, timed out lewl.



notes: when it ran off we ran the opposite direction and kinda "intercetped" it b4 it could make up its mind where the fk it wanted to go.

we set up SCs and MBs kinda like faf and whatnot, pretty much raped it near the end but by that time it was too late due to the "TRAP" guivre set up for us on the bridge.

btw pld/nin fails for that.

oh and it would only open with 2x fang rush if u aggro it, didnt seem to do it when it was pulled by our thf or PLD.
