From my experience, it seems that sandworm have more than 2 pop spots on each map, most likely scenario is that it popped in an area that wasn't covered and it depopped.

This. Our shell has been camping sandworm for about a week and a half now, has always popped inside the 21-24 hour window. We had an incident last week however where it didn't show after the 24 hour mark. We had our scouters check ALL squares of each map... turns out he was chilling waaaaaay up in the NE corner, top of J-5. When we gathered it depopped a couple of minutes later, so it must have been there at least an hour. We've also mapped quite a few pop locations; most we have in one zone is 4, in meriphataud.

There *seems* to be a trend to its pop locations. Either it'll spawn near a recall point, a maw, a zoneline(including ones that would lead to present areas) or near present NM spawn locations. We do have a couple of locations where this isn't the case, but at the moment its a good rough guide.

Well here comes the iffy part. There were THREE LS camping it. US and 2 JPs. The JPs had 2-3 members each zone per LS with many being main RNG. It is very very unlikely it popped unseen.

I think the pop spots are made so they are far apart enough that they can't be widescanned in one position. Anyway, how did it turn out?

well that's new. if 'everything is working as it should' I wonder if there is a determining factor as to which instance you are sent to, could potentially lead to simultaneous KA and LW fights with strong groups of 9x2.
