Where to obtain Alexandrite - Please post experiences!

what do they stack to? 99? if you need 50,000 of them, that's over 505 stacks. with 80 inventory (we know we'll get it eventually), 80 mog safe, 80 storage, and 80 mog locker the max storage possible is 320 slots, less furnishings to fill out storage. even if you dropped all your gear, there's no way you could hold 50,000. does the NPC accept them as a part of a tally, like the ABC NPC?

I don't foresee them adjusting the amount required in the future, but they may make pieces more available by increased drop rates or alternative methods to acquire.

Didn't get any when we did SSR and the boss didn't drop any when we did this last night.

Obtained 4 from Arrapago Remnants last night with TH3 for some kills, TH4 for others. 1 was from an Archaic Rampart on the 6F. 3 were from Gear/s on the 6F although I didn't notice whether it was triple or single gears that dropped them. Don't suppose it matters as they seem to be justa random drop from archaic machinery.

I think the 50000 was meant to be 5000 because it is impossible to amass 50000 of these.

This is either a huge joke on SEs part or an extra zero was added like the Twinkling Treants event.

Really think you need 50k for what looks like shitty weapons? Would have to have some insane hidden stats to be good weapons..

Even 5000 is pretty crazy if you get 5 drops per run on average.

I mean consider Dynamis, where 180 100 pieces are required to fully upgrade. On average probably 200-300 currency drops most runs. Assuming you sponsored every run, and got shitty average drops of 200, that'd take 90 runs.

90*5 = 450, 9% (even though you can do salvage 3 times for every 1 dynamis run, if you did 3x more runs you'd still only get 27%).

Yeah it doesn't cost money directly to enter Salvage, but it does indirectly in lost assault points, xp, RR scroll on entry, medicines, etc.

I'm still hoping that each Alexandrite results in more than 1 counted towards your total.

Unless there's a way to get more Alexandrite easily (unlikely, there aren't items in-game to correspond to higher denominations), maybe this is just SE's idea of throwing a bone to the gil-buyers who think they'll be getting ToAU relics. "See, you can still get it by buying stuff, it'll just take ~500m-1b gil and a few years!"

Meanwhile, the people who don't rely on gil for everything are getting them en masse through the other paths.

who the hell would blow more gil on a nyzul weapon versus the 'mere' cost of 100M for a real relic
