My wife was having this problem as well. I told her to stop moving whenever it happened, until it stopped. Was kind of annoying in Einherjar, but the weird thing was she said mobs were moving just as fast on her screen.Originally Posted by AzazaelFenrir
Nice to know it wasn't just her, I thought it was a CPU issue.
It could be a CPU issue, we would have to see what she has. Like I said I did a GM report right away. Navigating menu's was the biggest problem. Though on my screen Mobs weren't moving as fast as I was, I kept joking about training a whole zone on a level 1 jobOriginally Posted by Wizerd
If you don't mind can you PM me her PC specs so I can see if they match up?

I hope they are nice enough to sneak in some goodies >_>;; while they are at it.
(I know; wishful thinking is wishful)
So Wizerd's Wife and I have the same family of CPU. I wonder if the super flee is a CPU thing. Anyone with a AMD Atholon 64 X2 Dual core have a normal speed version of the game right now??![]()

I didn't restart mine, Did your wife Wiz? Thought I fail to see how restarting can change my processing speed.Currently, some customers are reporting that they are experiencing an issue where the processing speed of the game seems to have increased to unintended levels on the Windows version of FINAL FANTASY XI.
Our technical staff is conducting an investigation of this issue, but it will take a while to determine the cause. New updates will follow as soon as additional information becomes available.
In case you experience this issue, it may be resolved by restarting the PC that is having the issue. We regret the inconvenience, but do ask that you please consider attempting this solution.
Again, we apologize for any inconvenience caused by this issue.
Athlon 64x2 5000+ Black Edition here, zero problems. Few people in my LS were experiencing it though, and they also have Athlon 64x2s, so it might be a necessary criteria to cause the problem, but not sufficient in and of itself.Originally Posted by AzazaelFenrir

I have an Althon 64 dual core as well (approx 2 years old now, so a 4400 maybe?). Had this issue, didn't try restarting yet, was too tired once the update finished. The P4 next to it did not experience the issue.
it's incredibly interesting that they can break so many things when the update the game. It's gone from armor glitches ,to 2hander miscalculations, to SA switching. I'd love to look at the code and actually see how intertwined it is to cause such wierd shit to break.Currently, some customers are reporting that they are experiencing an issue where the processing speed of the game seems to have increased to unintended levels on the Windows version of FINAL FANTASY XI.

I also have an Athlon 64x2, but I'm having no problems with this.Originally Posted by Zosi
I *did* have this issue with Planetside though, back in the day. There was a fix for the planetside one relatively quickly, so hopefully SE will be as expedient with thier response.
I think they should wait on fixing this SA issue to make sure they really have fixed it.
About 5-6 years of testing the "fix" on Atomos server should be enough before they give us the fix. 8)
What was your all-time high with SA from the front? I was consistently hitting around 1,580... sometimes a little less.Originally Posted by terraflarex
Oh well, SA fix, possibly TP return on MNK WS when Foot Kicks is active. I can deal with the former, but please please don't touch the latter!![]()
Core 2 Duo E6600 2.40ghz
Game still capped to 30fps for me, and of course campaign and besieged still lagged me out of the game.
