Install this MS program:

And follow these instructions, for pol.exe:

2) Start.. Programs... Microsoft Application Compatibility Toolkit 5.0... Tools... Compatibility Administrator
3) At the bottom of the tree on the left is "custom database". Right click it, Create New... Application Fix.
4) Type in a name (say, the program name) and point it at the .exe of the program in question, and click next.
5) Choose "none" for operating system mode, and click next (you don't want any of the fixes on this page).
6) Choose "SingleProcAffinity" from the list and click next.
7) Click finish.
8) Click save and pick a name and location for the database.
9) Right click the database and pick "install".

I just got offline after speaking to a GM about the speed problems. I would advise all of those with the problems to cease playing till its fixed =/. Apparently since we can move at such extreme speeds, they consider it an edge. I was told that its possible to get a suspended account, even though its not my fault. I know its really gay, especially due to the fact that all the servers came up and there are plenty of HNMs to camp.

Also, anyone else having the speed problem, have a problem zoning? Each time I hit a zoneline for certain zones it just kicks me back to the previous zone etc.

it's incredibly interesting that they can break so many things when the update the game. It's gone from armor glitches ,to 2hander miscalculations, to SA switching. I'd love to look at the code and actually see how intertwined it is to cause such wierd shit to break.

No offfense, but with all the recent hackings going on, I highly doubt anyone's going to trust that these are legitimate links to fix the issue, especially considering your small number of posts on this board.

None taken, you can search for this:
"Microsoft Application Compatibility Toolkit 5.0"
and follow the links from Google. Just make sure you are downloading it from microsoft.com. There are other ways to restrict processor affinity to 1 CPU, but this seems like the best supported and permanent way to do it.

I had the same problem with hyper-speed on my AMD dual-core processor.

To fix the hyper-speed problem, you can download and install the dual-core optimizer that was released by AMD:

A little update for my situation. Updating my graphic drivers helped, but did not remove the 'problem'. If I was in a small zone or a zone that had a lot of people I had normal FPS, but when I went to limbus and assaults I was in half hyper speed.
