NPC WOTG Access, Limit Break and new "Fellow Point" system

Anyone else checked their npc's headgear options, I was able to give her Demon Helm after the update. Not sure if this is old news I didn't read about it anywhere else. Slight edit- I was aware there were going to be some new gear choices just didn't know what.

Also anyone know if there is any new armour to upgrade to past level 12?

Are you completely certain? I've read 3-4 accounts (including yours last page) of people who went to Movalpolis after last update, expecting to get an upgrade and it never happened after repeated attempts. Was there anything else you killed (even one mob) that might have progressed it?

If you're looking for freestyle upgrades, the skeletons (high level) in Gustav Tunnel will upgrade your NPC along that path. I spent 3-4 charges down there one day and my NPC's body and legs dropped to rank 1 freestyle. (which is where I locked them since finding freestyle mobs is really annoying)

Well you have two options. Firstly you can lock whatever relevant pieces you want to upgrade and change them with points (The Trader's set is only Level 2 on the windy path so shouldn't take too many points). Secondly you can do the slightier easier option (imo) and kill mobs like Robber Crabs in Kuftal for them to automatically upgrade (As I mentioned, Trader's armour is only lv2 so shouldn't take too long to get upgrades that way). I'm not too sure whatever other mobs would advance your npc's armour down the Windy path but I'm sure someone else here has an answer.

It's really up to you as both methods work just as well.

So... monsters have specific links with specific nations? I always thought that what was affecting the leveling of gear was killing mobs in a certain area under control of a certain nation in the moment you kill. If no nation is in control, then you go up on the beastman path of gear.

Interesting new, guess I'll check how much money I have. Bet now everyone will think I'm dumb for wanting my NPC dressed in Trader/Baron set xD Can't help it, I like my big soothing healer galka wearing that stuff ^^'

I'm personally doing Bastok, but as I said in an earlier post, I am interested in knowing which armor path birds, amorphs, undead, and dragons upgraded along, so the skeleton information is still good to know. My assumption had been that birds and amorphs are both windy path, and undead and dragons beastmen path. So I guess that leaves 3 more to verify, as well as any of the other families that aren't on the chart (Are there any beastmen that give upgrades, or are they all like goblins? What about elementals?)

Has anyone's NPCs been able to equip new sets of headgear?

As I go through the dat file that lists the headwear that you are able to equip, I notice that there are now 12 headwear lines when there were originally 9. I also noticed that there are 12 Homemade food items, three of which were added in the June update. My current conjecture is that the choice of headwear is determined by the NPC's personality and not the face type. (I believe that before the June update NPC personality was determined by what face you chose.)

Has anyone started or restarted their NPC since the June patch when you were able to chose the personality type? Can you match the headgear that your NPC has to the personality that you picked? What about the food that you get after completing Mixed Signals? There are mysteries afoot!

I started after the June Patch. I have a Naive, Taru Female(5a). I'm still not capped bond, but I'm 105. (Level 7 Head Option was Tiger Helm.) I got the Homemade Stew for my Mixed Signals quest. Once I get the new helm, I'll be sure to post it~

I restarted mine after June update because I wanted a Taru the same model as mine; chose ‘‘Passionate’’ as the personality (he's all gung-ho now, and at times, I feel like he has add), and got Panther Mask as my ninth option.

I don't remember 100%, but I think I got the Homemade Steak from Mixed Signals. Wiki has the wrong face-type listed for food prize, as well as head options for my model (4b).

The below fellow styles can now use the Provoke ability once meeting certain prerequisites:
Attacker Style / Healer Style / Fierce Attacker Style / Soothing Healer Style

Has anyone figured out how to get the other styles to provoke yet?

Maybe it's triggered similarly to Blessed Radiance, only your NPC has high HP and you're near death.

That would work with my experience. I went out and unlocked Death Blossom using my Fierce Attacker NPC the other night, and she only used it twice in 250 WS points -- both times right after I had converted.

Something I'm disappointed about after the update is that they didn't add more weapon choices.

Has anyone figured out how to get the other styles to provoke yet?

They are correct, my npc only did this when I was @ low HP. Once with COR just at low hp from fighting, once on RDM -immediately- after I converted.

Oh, and this happened tonight. Vunkerl Inlet after getting a new tactics pearl, had gotten it @ lvl 2 promy holla and got a Homemade Salad SE mentioned they changed the stats on...

Only thing I can think of is the Homemade Salad. Ate it after i popped tactics pearl, she said "I hope it's compatible with your taste buds..."

She's used it only 3 times in 26 EP crabs, but is using Penta Thrust and Wheeling Thrust a lot more than normal too.

Edit: a 4th time with me closing darkness just got me Insurgency! W00t!

2nd Edit: took npc out a 2nd time same zone, everything the same except I'd gotten insurgency and I didn't have the special npc-made food, didn't use impulse drive and went back to the normal cycle of mostly raiden thrusts etc with only a few good ones mixed in.

For anyone wanting to upgrade gear, kill mobs in the past! Pre-patch and post-patch i had spent a lot of time in Beadeaux farming coffer keys and testimonies and such and with no gear locked my galka upgraded gear once on 6-7 calls. It was supper slow.

I just spent 2 days in Rolan [s] soloing Vidohunir off EP Goob Farmers and Durib has upgraded gear 7 times in 3 calls (2/3/2) all along the Bastok line.

Not really a huge sample, but going 3 calls in a row with 2+ changes each call compared to 1-2 a WEEK made me notice right away.
