New Relic WS Animations

Did anyone realize that the polearm one had been in the .dats for a loooooong time? Only reason why I recognized it was because it was like double thrust + wheeling thrust. I remember having it on my old computer on Model Viewer back when people didn't know if they were relic Ws's or not. Althought I might be completely wrong about this, lol

pretty sure a lot of those were misidentified

Theres a good chance they're all correct..
some of them we can immediately tell are correct because of the weapon 'posture'

SAM
NIN
RNG
COR
MNK and PUP are both H2H but we can tell from the really old WotG trailer which one is the PUP one...

we can use the same source to verify RDM, WAR and PLD.

then we can figure out these WS by job due to the animation being a mixture of old weapon specific WS moves

now comes the hard part.. we have to do elimination to determine the rest..
(assuming the choices in the video are all correct)

BLU is likely that simple looking one (it looks nicer in viewer tho), cos theres no other Sword WS..

THF is likely the 1 hit Lotus pattern thing cos of the weapon. Its called Vajra which means thunderbolt (and theres thunder in the ws) and the lotus thing is very buddhist.. so there..

DNC, BRD, WHM, BST. All single handed weapons with similar animations... These have the highest possibility of being wrongly assigned..

BLM, SMN, SCH... all staff WS... Nirvana is probably correct tho, cos of the flower/lotus-esque motif, which is remniscient of Buddhism.. which is where Nirvana is taken from..
I'm not so sure about the other 2... Theres also 1 more staff WS in AltanaViews list.. might be an error from the guy who compiled the list... Its reddish purple and all dark looking... Maybe campaign npc? dunno

Dancers WS is most definately correct due to the fact that the weapon has 3 blades and the corresponding weaponskill shows the trail of 3 blades striking the target multiple times.

I was going to ask why didn't you just say because the weapon the character was using matched the trail of the 3 blades, and we know the DNC weapon is triple bladed like that... but then common sense kicked in.

Seconding this by the way, it looks like the DNC animation is correct.

Given the name of the weapon and the animation, my guess is that the SCH one is also correct.

"because we did a small nerf to sams group 2 merits we feel the need to add a new skill chain just for them. combing the old relic WS and the new one will make Cosmic Elucidation. can deal up to 5x dmg of end WS and lets a MB of anything with 99% resit down.

Well, it's not that bad of an idea, considering that the SAM would have to do WS -> switch weapons -> 2hr -> WS to pull it off. It's not like they'd be doing it in merit parties.

i really <3 the sch's ws even if a relic ws for a mage is totally stupid for what i think, relic spell for mages would be really better since no mage are meleein', so whats the point to have ws?
but i think nu relic animation are still good.
