Am I the only girl who thinks I'm a good driver?

Been driving for 9 years, one speeding ticket, no wrecks.

I think I'm a good driver too. =(

And yeah, don't blame the giney, blame the silly parents who rush teaching their kids to drive. I've seen terrible terrible terrible male drivers too.

Yeah, 8 years for me next month. 0 tickets, I haven't even been pulled over once. Scored a 98 on my driving test, and only one accident that almost killed me and my brother when some GUY in a truck smashed into the back of my car at about 55 miles an hour.

Don't drive so slow next time.

The reason that we are talking about women drivers in particular is that women generally (GENERALLY, not always) have this mindset that makes them terrible at driving.

It's not about your ability to operate the vehicle, it's not about your car, it's not about your learning capabilities (although...)

It's about your head.

There are 2 types of bad women drivers:

1. I don't know what the fuck I'm doing and I'm freaking out
- the insecure girl who just got her license and doesn't really even know the roads she's on so she makes the stupidest fucking turns and doesn't signal and kills people with her sheer stupid. the girl who plays fuckin red light green light on the highway. the girl who doesn't understand speeds, speed limits, merging, using mirrors.

2. I am the fucking shit, fuck you all
- the girl who thinks she can speed and get off by showing the cop some cleav, the girl who talks on her phone ALWAYS (even worse, texts), the girl who cuts you off and doesn't let you in (see up) and the girl who has NO FUCKING COURTESY whatsoever.

Personally I can deal with the first type, at least her idiocy is somewhat heartwarming. The second type makes me want to give a full hysterectomy with a pair of tweezers and boiling liquids.

When I was first doing my road test for driving the lady failed me but said "you know how to drive just fine". I thought that was bullshit, but then as I was walking back to my car I saw her pull out in her own car and ram into the Lexus right behind her. On my next road test I scored 98 with a male instructor, so I just don't know....

wow no joke, same thing happened to me minus the crashing into a lexus. I had a lady driver who everyone said was nice, and I couldn't pass with her. Then I got a male instructor who everyone said was a soulless beast and didn't pass anyone, and I passed with him.

LOL, my friend is the 2nd type. She doesn't give right of way when it's due she gives it if she thinks your car is nice. If you're car isn't nice, you aren't getting in either. She is literally a bitch to everybody else on the road except those she thinks have nice cars. It's fucking hilarious honestly. She drives fine though, speeds a bit but it's fine.

I moved to the Bay Area about a year ago and had been driving about 8 year already with no tickets or accidents ever where I use to live in Portland, OR. During my first year I have almost gotten into about atleast a dozen near accidents on both the freeway and city streets and I'm being comepletly honest when I say none of those accidents would have been my fault if they had occured. But the one thing all those near misses had in common was the other drivers in question were all Chinese young, olld, male & female. So now I have a hatred for Chinese drivers because they ALL seem to be clueless out on the road, just typing this up right now puts me into road rage mode. So my vote for worse driver would be an elderly women Chinese driver that is handicapped.

My mom is the only female driver I feel comfortable riding with. Probably because she learned to drive in big cities, New York among other cities has some of the best drivers imho. New Yorkers might suck sometimes but when it comes to knowing how to drive, most of them are better than the rest of the country.

Same deal with me. My mom is a phenominal driver and driving every day in NYC does that to you.
