Immunity for American contractors in Iraq sounds like the worst part of this deal. Immunity for contractors from what? Prosecution in Iraqi courts? All prosecution?

It's not a deal to let us do those things until the end of time. I mean aren't the bases in Iraq basically tractor trailers or something? We haven't been using concrete to even build our bases because we don't want to leave a "footprint".

And what is it exactly that you have gotten done? Ruining America's image across seas and turning our own economy to shit? Even if you were a republican, you should be outraged at this.

How is our economy shit? We still have yet to have one quarter of negative growth, you need two for a recession. Referring to gas prices? Look at the politicians who don't want to drill for our own oil, which is both Dem's and Republicans.

Aside from that, would you mind explaining to me why some libertarians, people who are for small government spending, people who believe in other's privacy and ability to chose for themselves, would buddy up with people who consistently cause deficits, waste immense amount of cash on war, intervene in the affairs of other nations, have a tendency to scoff at civil rights and seem very determined to shove their religious point of view in every issue possible? Do these libertarians just prefer to choose the lesser of two evils, and instead of intervening in the private affairs of others by increasing taxes for the rich, creating systems for those who are less fortunate, and assuring the rights of citizens can't be trounced on, instead side with those who intervene in private affairs by giving the rich tax cuts, cutting spending in social programs to spend that very same amount and more in wars, and tear away at civil liberties in the name of fear mongering?

I can't for the life of me understand what libertarians are doing in the Republican party. Maybe these are just the defective libertarians?

I can't answer for other people, really, because I've been a registered Libertarian since I was 18, so I'm not the type of person you're talking to. To attempt to answer your question, though, what you're referring to are elected Republicans. There's a huge difference between the people who make up the party base and the people who are elected Republicans. On the whole, if you ask someone who votes Republican whether they like what most elected Republicans do, they'll say they don't. Most people are caught in a Catch-22, though. They don't want to vote for a third-party candidate because they want to be able to vote for someone who has a chance of winning, but the third party candidates don't have a chance of winning because people won't vote for them.

According to what i've seen, many constituents of the Republican party care more about whether gays are getting married or if some chick is getting an abortion for whatever reason they don't care about.

Of course, i like libertarians, i just can't comprehend what they're doing in the same party as neo-cons and idiots, which only further irritates me when i think of the Republican party. Yes, it may very well be because they can't get votes as a third party choice, but associating yourself with the people i just mentioned seems insufferable to me.

I don't mean the libertarians, i mean everyone else who composes the republican party, he has to represent somebody, right?

Basically what i'm getting at is, that you're saying that the elected official is not necessarily the same as those who form the party base, yet he must represent at least a majority of that base in order to even get elected in the first place. So while you may contend that he doesn't represent a libertarian in the republican party, he obviously represents everyone else in the republican party if he managed to win twice. He obviously represents the neoconservatives, what i wonder is if the neo cons actually form the majority to the rep party, because he has to be doing something right to have obtained the role twice.

Well, in 2000, Bush was supported by Republicans because he lied to people. He claimed that he would cut government spending, that he would build a coalition in congress, and that he wasn't interested in nation building. In 2004, we were at war. In a time of war people will almost always vote Republican.
