When I find a pair, I have to transfer a mule to said server and then I'm stuck there for 90 days?

You could make another mule on that server, send them to yourself and then transfer the new mule couldnt you?
I thought it was only the character that could transfer every 90 days.

Ok you're on Garuda, and lets say you find a pair on Ifrit.


You make a mule(mulea) on Garuda, give your gil to mulea, transfer it to Ifrit, buy the Sune-ate +1, make ANOTHER mule (muleb), give the sune-ate to muleb, transfer muleb back to Garuda.


Gil to mulea, transfer, buy, sune-ate to muleb, transfer back.


Simple?

You can only transfer one time per account every 90 days.

At least that's what it told me when I tried to bring over a couple mules after I moved my main. There's also some kind of restriction on how long you've owned a content ID before it can move, something like 90 days. There doesn't have to be any character created on it, you just have to have bought it 90 days ago. So you can't buy a starter account and move it within the trial.
