Haven't logged into FFXI in over a week now because I got myself re-addicted to NetHack ; ; great game, or the greatest game?

Still playing Persona 3: FES, goddamn this game is long. I'm almost done, but then I have to do a new game+ with maxed social links, and then there's The Answer to take care of. But before I do all that, I need to create a Helel that absorbs/resists everything and can put the hurt down with a Spell-Mastered Mind-Charged Morning Star. I'd really like to finish this shit in time to put some space between P3:FES and P4 when it comes out in December.
Also playing Shin Megami Tensei for the SNES, great game as long as you keep in mind when it was made. I can't wait to finish it so I can get started on SMT II, which is a hell of a lot less glitchy from what I've seen.
I had gotten back into FFXI for about 2months, but now have gone back to WoW. I think it's more of the fact that I don't have a set playing schedual(sp?) anymore...so it's nice to just log on and play instead of seeking for hours on end just trying to level when I can level, farm, quest, all at the same timeI certainly do miss FFXI...but I like WoW a bit more now...
Which is funny since when WoW came out I told everyone to GTFO with out...now I am playing it full time and love it!
Also been re-playing Guitar Hero 3( we got a tournament going on at work actualy, winner gets a day off!)
Got myself a copy of CoD4 yesterday (yes I'm a bit behind), and am loving the single player campaign so far.
However, after completing the nuke mission yesterday I just had to get up from my computer and walk away. I was really unprepared for how hard the ending to that mission hit me and just the horror of it all. I had read about what happens and even seen a video online of it, but until you play through the previous few missions and get into it, you just can't compare it to seeing it otherwise. Bravo to Infinity Ward for crafting such a compelling moment in gaming.
I have been playing GTA4, Soul Caliber 4, and Gears of War (never got around to playing it when it first came out and want to beat it before the 2nd comes out).
Fifa 09, Dead Space, BioShock, Fallout 3, Eternal Sonata and Resistance 2 are about to come out...
Insanity! Needs more holiday :/
About to beat Grandia 2, might start 3 or play Suikoden 5. Also want to start the Tales series, but I dont have tales 2 and dont feel like shelling out 60 bucks for it.
Ill be picking up eternal sonata eventually
Anyone ever heard of backloggery? its a site where you input the games that you are currently playing, are on your list to play, or have beaten. Its a personal game database.
My Backloggery
Final Fantasy IV DS, Dragon Quest IV, and Trauma Center: Under the Knife 2.
That backloggery site seems pretty cool. I'll have to sign up for it lol.
Giving NetHack a break for now. Onto Super Paper Mario.
Play Suikoden V, definitely better than Grandia III by miles.
I'm currently playing Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne and Persona: Eternal Punishment now that I've figured out how to get ePSXe up and running (hint: downloading a zip file with all plug-ins + bios from a file-sharing program makes it soooo easy).
On my list of games to download so far, which I will be playing shortly:
Legend of Legaia
Brave Fencer Musashi
Einhander
Persona: Revelations
SaGa Frontier (I know it sucks but I have a soft spot in my heart for it since I played it when I was a kid)
Threads of Fate
Valkyrie Profile
Koudelka
Tomba
Tomba 2
I don't think SaGa Frontier sucks, I must be one of the few.
I think most people don't understand the game's system... which is partly the fault of the game itself, but once you understand everything it's all good.
The stories are pretty decent and it has a good battle system if you can understand the damn thing.
Playing Tales of Vesperia atm w/ a friend. Not sure where exactly we are in the game atm but I think we're almost done.
Saga Frontier is... interesting. I like it, but it could really use an in-game tutorial as far as how the battle system works. Hell, it could use several, at least one for each character type. I forget how well the battle system was explained in the manual but it's complicated enough that it wouldn't hurt to hold the player's hand a little. As far as the rest of the game goes I have no problem; I love the graphical style, and I think it would be harsh to criticize the non-linear story and resulting lack of character development as that's an intentional design choice and should be chalked up to personal preference.
Considering I'm currently playing no less than three Shin Megami Tensei games, however, I probably won't progress far in it very soon anyway.
Trying to juggle Mother 3, Valkyrie Profile and Ragnarok Online at the moment, playing other random stuff in between but it's just random little things out of wanting a break from RPG's.
Fifa 09.
Recently bought Dead Space and BioShock. They'll keep me busy for a while.
And oh yeah, Sonata and Fallout soon <3
I ended up starting Grandia 3. I sorta like to play games in order right after each other if possible. I am not sure what I will do after Grandia 3. I might pick up eternal sonata. I want to play it but i have so much to play. Finals are going to be creeping up too. Wish I could freeze time and just kick it for a few days.
Legend of Legaia was good. I got a little bored towards the end but it is solid. Frontier saga is on my list of games to try eventually. I have valk profile, but havent gotten to it yet.
Dowloaded and am playing STALKER: Clear Sky. It's pretty fun so far and I enjoy the very challenging environment. The significant amount of running around you have to do really sucks, with the fast travel options often being very expensive. Overall it's a neat shooter, but I really want to go back and try STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl as well.
There is no teleporting in the first game, the second does a much better job of that. There are a few different areas in the first one though, such as more underground space, and Prypiat, which is missing from Clear Sky.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. aside from the fantasy radioactive qualities is actually very very close to the real areas surrounding the reactor, and even the the reactor and lava itself is accurate. It's a really fun game, they did a great job with the realism in that regard.
I've heard some crappy things about Grandia III's story, but I haven't played it, hope you enjoy it. I have played Suikoden V the entire way through, and it is awesome, my only beef is that it would be nearly impossible to recruit all of the characters without a guide since there are a number of them that become unavailable after one point in the game or another. I hate it when games do that.
Legaia is pretty sweet so far, the battle system is fun and the dialogue/story is surprisingly decent. I don't like the big bad guy who shows up at the beginning though, shouting "Puny humans! Give into the mist, human scum!" Any bad guy who can't stop shouting about how much humans suck needs better dialogue imo. Hopefully he'll get better as the game progresses, I'm just at the part where Noa and that wolf have to escape the cave.
Don't worry guy...
