2 more playthrough of ME1, and 3 playthroughs of ME2, and now I'm kinda ME'd out even though I have at least 2 more playthroughs of each left to finish before ME3 comes out. Oh well, I have time.

Then played a little Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin while I was away in Florida, which I still have yet to finish, but I have to do a lot of backtracking for items/drops cuz I didn't play it with a guide like I wanted to.

Now playing Dante's Inferno and trying to figure out what's next. I started the Wii translation of Fatal Frame 4 a few weeks ago, which is pretty awesome, so maybe I'll continue with that.

I could probably find something else to play but all I know is that if I play another full 2 weeks of Mass Effect between Dante's Inferno and Heavy Rain I will probably just go crazy.

oh and I could finish my evil Infamous playthrough, but eh

I've heard a ton of things about Radiata stories, I just always neglected to go and pick it up whenever I saw it at Gamestop. I imagine I can find it on Amazon now for cheap, though. I'd like to put the PS2 backlog behind my fully, but I still have Disgaea 2, Shadow Hearts 3, Devil Summoner 2, and Romancing SaGa/Unlimited SaGa to go through, as well as SMT: Nocturne. There are other things like Chaos Wars, but that game's so godawful I dunno if I can stomach it.

I really should play the older games before the newer, shinier ones take away from them.

Grabbed me Skate2 cheap the other day, currently playing it.

Am digging the controls, as long as I'm either not at a standstill, stuck in a corner, or stopped infront of an object. In all three cases, the controls are infuriating as there's no easy way out of all three aside from either force bailing, getting off your board (to which you get to deal with the shit off-board controls), or using your marker if you can. Usually means an instant lose in anything race or time-related. -.-

Game could have used a better tutorial. Skate 1's demo showed off more of the controls indepth compared to retail of #2, been stuck looking at YouTube vids to figure out how to pull off some of the maneuvers not described in the manual/trick-guide, which is a shame.

Kinda wish the game had a sense of progression also. It just feels like I'm getting an endless list of challenges/races/etc popping up everytime I finish one. I know story-wise I'm supposed to be working on a film or something, but after doing 20 some challenges for it, and not getting an update on how things stand other than a usual dude's blog, it gets a bit boring as the game feels like a giant to-do checklist with not much reward other than cash. (which I've yet to use outside of buying a shirt/board)

Love free-skating about though. Going down a hill and pulling off a line involving three grinds, a grab, and a couple flips feels perfect (long as the sluggish controls don't get in the way). It reminded me of the old Tony Hawk Pro Skater game's where doing anything above 5 moves in a single line was a challenge.
(until that series went completely arcadey at 3, where it was possible to pull off never-ending lines with no effort at all)


Am definitely interested in seeing how Skate3 turns out, as there's still room to improve. Would love for there to be an option to tweak how sensitive the game is regarding how it reads your right-stick flicks for movements. Half the time I try to ollie without paying attention I end up doing a heelflip.

Decided to buy myself a game as a reward for going through the hell of strep throat, was looking at Tatsunoko vs. Capcom and Brawl. I ended up going with Brawl because I figured I'd get more out of it, and obviously I know a lot more of the characters.

It's fun... but oh god do I suck. This is the first Smash Bros. game I've played and I have no idea what I'm doing. I mean, I know what my objective is, I just really suck at getting it done.

So far I've tried out Pit and Zelda mainly, like them both. Dunno if they're any good but I tend to pick the characters I like the most, rather than the best ones, when I play fighting games. Sometimes it works out - my Taki in Soul Calibur is a beast - and sometimes it doesn't.

woo hoo! I beat SSE and recruited Toon Link. I suppose I should recruit Wolf and Jigglypuff, at some point. don't really care for either of them though, just doing it for completion's sake. then to go unlock more stages, and then... practice until I stop sucking, I guess?

even with my inexperience I have to agree with the people who say Meta Knight is hax. fluid and responsive speed, strong attacks, great recovery, and a whole lot more I'm sure I'm missing. although I have more fun with Pit.

also, I broke my Gamecube controller and I miss it badly. c-stick smash attacks are awesome for new players who haven't mastered the timing on regular smashes yet.

and yes, I'm way behind the crowd on this. I'm still glad I got the game.

Almost finished God of War 1 from the God of War Collections. Brutal and enjoyable. Can't decide if I'll jump right into 2 yet or take a break for an RPG.

Just finished Lost Odyssey after 92 hours. =/ Characters at level ~83, beat every optional boss except one which I plan on going back and doing, got most of the achievements. (Like 29/36)

Was kinda disappointed, I felt like the storyline started off iffy, got much better and then fizzled at the end. Overall the game was average. I felt like there wasn't enough story/exploration options, and way too much needless options that made you feel like you had a lot to do even though you didn't.

Now back to finish Assassin's Creed II, which I've been putting off for weeks.

Currently playing Ace Attorney Investigations.

I'm on the second mishap currently, and I have to say that I really, really, really miss the courtroom sessions. Liking the new approach to conversations, it's not first-person anymore, so you tyipcally see Edgey & Gumshoe on the left of screen looking to whomever they're talking to on the right, as well as seeing their pixel-art selves doing a thing here and there.

[EDIT] Dear god, I hope Capcom does something new with the next iteration of the series. After 4 Ace Attorney games, and now this, I'm getting really, really, tired of always having to defend myself and always present evidence, where-as my opposition can always spout conjecture and alibis on a whim without anything physical to go off of, requiring me to prove them wrong. It's a never-ending battle.

Currently 4 hours into the Fatal Frame 4 fan translation for Wii, which is amazing. I've only played FF2 before this, but I am definitely going to have to track down 1 & 3 when I'm done. Too bad this will never get localized, but those of you with modded wiis should definitely check it out.

Also I'm about 75% of the way through Silent Hill Origins. For whatever reason I didn't really care for SH: Homecoming all that much, and I hated 4, and Shattered Memories was decent but I would have preferred actual combat... so I'd probably rate them as: SH3 > SH2 (Greatest Hits) > SH1 > SH:Origins > SH5 > Shattered Memories > SH4.

Other than that I'm currently on playthrough 4 of Mass Effect 2 (Manshep renegade engineer), and I'll probably pick up the Resident Evil 5 and Assassin's Creed 2 DLC this week. I'm sure all this stuff will tide me over until Heavy Rain, but if it doesn't I'll probably continue my survival horror kick into finishing Cursed Mountain for wii (another unappreciated one!).

I was at the boat part early in the game and fought against 5 things that boosted their agility and attacked every time it had a chance. I ragequit so fucking hard at that. I couldn't flee from the fight too.

I'll try this again later but that is shit.

Otherwise I enjoy the skill increase stuff.

Basically SoD is a game where you're either so overpowered there's no challenge and the enemies can't touch you, or they're so overpowered you don't stand a chance no matter what. Chain flurry attacks -> win, anything else -> lose.

Seriously, bosses that get six turns in a row and use those turns to give themselves even more extra turns? What crack were the designers smoking? Biggest gaming disappointment for me in years, I had so much hope with the pedigree it had.

And don't get me started on the Mitsuda connection. They hyped the shit out of his association with it but it turns out he only wrote like three tracks and the rest suck. Bastards.

I have so much SoD rage it's not even funny.
