Playing Soul Nomad & the World Eaters. <3 I remembered I just shelled out $15 for an FMCB memory card and am having loads of fun with ESR. Just purchased a crossover cable so I can start playing via network and save DVDs as well as eliminate this awful fucking lag.

How are the story and battle system? I thought about picking it up someday.

I'll try to remember to get back to you in a few days on this, I got sidetracked with playing Ogre Battle on N64 with a friend this weekend so I'm still in the early stages of Nomad. I like what I see so far, but it's too little to really say anything to either question.

Also got myself a copy of Deadly Premonition for 360, which is the GREATEST GAME OF ALL TIME. Ok not really, but once you get past the horrible graphics this is one of those games that's so bad it's good. For 20 bucks you get a hell of a lot of value, and apparently it's quickly becoming this cult classic and selling out all over. It's like Silent Hill meets Twin Peaks meets uh... well it's hard to explain, lol.

but yea the opening cutscene establishes you, among other things, enjoy talking on your cell phone while driving and chain smoking and using your laptop... in the rain at night. The dialogue is cheesy and there's so much weird crap going on, like the main characters multiple personality disorder. The graphics are really bad, but there's tons of sidequests and missions to go on and a huge area to explore, along with upgrades and vehicles you can purchase. The town sheriff drives a jeep with a license plate that says LUVMOM, btw.

Been playing an assload of Warhawk lately, loving that game.

As far as single-player goes, I've been plowing through Battlefield: Bad Company 1 on Hard. I plan to have it beaten, as well as all the offline trophies done by tomorrow.

Today I'll be spending some quality time with Folklore. Found a used copy at my local pawn shop for $15, snagged it in a heartbeat since my local EB Games has their two copies for $45 bloody bucks.

[EDIT] Wow, people weren't joking when they said you basically have to play the game twice to beat it. Guess I'll do the one character's path, and then the other. I'd go crazy having to run past the same areas and fight the same bosses twice in succession.

[EDIT2] Aw hell, bullshit. Bad Company pulls off one of my trophy pet peeves, where playing on a harder difficulty does not net you the trophies for the easier difficulties as well. Looks like I get to spend more time on this game finishing it off on normal as well. -.-

For some reason my local Lamestop is taking pre-orders for Diablo III, WTF? I decided to pick up my Dragoon Barbarian after 4 months and managed to speed through normal and got to Act 3 Hell. Pretty fun build, but I wish you Frenzy didn't require dual-wielding would have been a great way to round out 2-handed weapons and rival the still overrated Whirlwind. Sill haven't decided on a weapon mastery, but might settle on Spear or Polearm and dump a few points into Whirlwind for some crowd control. I managed to light up a few WW Barbs, Trapassasins, and a Hammerdin (pure luck) that tried to PK me this past week. It's almost too easy when people assume you're a WW Barb just because you use a spear. Leap Attack has to be by far the most broken single target attack in the game, it's almost like cheating when you can "teleport" without enigma and dump a +800% melee attack over and over again with little or no retaliation.

Well, I beat Grandia quite a few hours ago and have started playing Castlevania: SotN, which is pretty fun, but I think I prefer CotM more.

it's rare that I pick up new releases. i generally stick to one game at at time and don't spend much more than an hour playing on any given day.
