I heard that breaks the game to the point that you can't die unless you want to, have you tried it?
Might build myself a 100% Chameleon outfit once I start my +5/+5/+1 (or +5/+5/+5, haven't decided) character.

once you get a Gray Fox Cowl, you can basically run around with 100% chameleon and do whatever the fuck you want with it on, then take the cowl off and all your notoriety goes away. It's pretty broken if you do the Thieves Guild before the Dark Brotherhood.
edit: just finished Crystal Bearers, took about 16 hours with some decent sidequesting. I have to say I ended up liking this game more than I thought, I really think this game is a lot better than reviews give it credit for. If you can stick with it long enough to get proficient at the gameplay, there's a ridiculous amount of sidequests and depth as well as a pretty good story. I wouldn't have necessarily paid full retail price for this, but for 20 bucks it's a pretty good deal considering just how much you can do. I still need to go back and farm up the materials to make accessories that will max out my stats, I'd half consider trying to complete all 330+ Gold Medals (an in-game achievement system) but I imagine that would take well over 70-80 hours.
Right now I'm playing the 'try not to lose to Blarg in a spam poll game' but other than that I'm back into FFXI and gonna try to finish off Tales of Destiny 2 soon.
FF13
Just Cause 2.
Most fun I've had all month next to God of War 3. It's like the best bits from Mercenaries 2 & Bionic Commando, with a parachute added in, and looking great while running smooth at the same time.
I'm about 40 hours into Persona 4(my first) and I'm just loving this game. I jumped into this right after FFXIII and I think I'm enjoying it more lol. I mean, I really liked FFXIII but this game is so different, in a good way, and the character development is awesome. I really like the difficulty of the game, too. Although, the random death spells on your main character can get annoying lol.
Anyways, after I'm done with this, I plan on playing Fragile Dreams for the Wii. Has anyone here played it yet and think it's any good?
im about to play Fragile Dreams after I finish Dragon Age Awakenings. I'll let you know what I think. Then again I loved Crystal Bearers so I might not be the best judge of games!
When I played persona I pumped a lot of time into it, mostly because every time I went dungeon crawling I refused to leave until every single one of my party members was out of mp, which obviously took a while once I started getting MP restoral abilities and extra party members. Still, lots of fun but got tired of grinding towards the end.
Also the Maru-Q Striptease music is the best. I really want to fuck to that music lol
Was playing Legacy of Ys: Book 1 & 2 today on the DS.
Beat Book 1 in four hours straight, was alright. Felt like a poor man's version of Crystalis from the NES, helped killed the five hours I was with my family today (mostly in the car). Bit disappointed that gold was absolutely useless outside of two purchase stops, which was once for gear for story purposes, then once again for the highest-level gear a short while later, and then the odd trip to grab a new wing item for warping back to town. Not to mention I hit the level cap (24) halfway into the game, and there was zero point to killing mobs other than clearing myself a path to move forward.
Will probably play book 2 as well if it's just as short, may as well 'beat' the game. Will try that on Nightmare difficulty as Normal in Ys 1 was waaaay too easy.
Are the later Ys entries any good? I wouldn't mind something a little more modernized and involved in terms of battle gameplay that has you doing more than tap A and run into the mob until it's dead. I never see the series discussed much.
[EDIT] On second thought, going to pass on doing Nightmare difficulty. No HP regen, which in most games wouldn't be a problem, but here? Only about 1 in 10 mobs drop an item that heals about 1/5th of your HP (once you max out your level), and you can only hold onto one herb at a time. Given I have to butt-up against a mob for my sword to hit it, it's kinda hard to not accidently get hurt in the process, making the difficulty artificially harder on this mode.
Darus Grey would be the person to ask about Ys, Im pretty sure he's played and owned every Ys released.
Dragon Age: Origins / Awakenings
Final Fantasy XIII
Beat Dragon Age Origins: Awakenings twice already, shit is crazy fun. The new specializations are broken. It actually re-inspired me to finish another playthrough on the main game. Also finally bit the bullet and got the DLC (not the gift packages, the Warden's Keep and Return to Ostagar). People said that the DLC was unfulfilling, but I thought it added closure to otherwise loose ends (mainly in the case of Return to Ostagar). Warden's Keep was a cool side-quest, but it's worth it just for the party chest. People really said that Awakening wasn't going to be worth it (even got bashed in reviews, receiving only a 7.75 for "not improving on the existing combat system"), and I have to disagree. I loved every second of Awakening (whereas I hated every second of the Circle of Magi tower Fade quest section in the main game). Forgot how awesome the storyline was, getting all distracted with other games. :d
And lastly, enjoying the version update for FFXI. Hating magian quests, but everything else seems like the first breath of the CPR process. Eagerly awaiting what SE has in store for us in future updates, particularly the raise of the level cap!
Every time i see a post about Dragon age it makes me think i didnt give it enough of a chance
In any case I platinum'd Ratchet and Clank so now im trying to platinum my other games. Mirror's edge is really frustrating me so I went out and bought Sonic Unleashed since i know i can platinum that >D
Also playing yugioh wc 2010, Pokewalker(cause its probably the best addition to any of the pokemon games in the last 5 years for me lol), and thats it!
I just beat Awakening myself as well, I thought it was great. Anders alone makes for some great inter-party dialogue and comic relief, although no one is as funny as Alistair. I like how they added a lot more powerful gear choices this time around, especially for mages.
Anywho now I'm back to playing FFCC: Crystal Bearers to farm up rare materials for uber accessoires. I don't know why but I am obsessed with this game.
I tried Ys: Oath in Felghana on PC not so long ago. Wasn't really interested in the series before, but got surprisingly addicted to this game when I turned it on. Didn't finish it yet because I got distracted by FFXIII and studying, plus the game started becoming hard and gameovers after a 30-40 min trek into the dungeon were annoying, so I had to take a break :D But I will go back to finish it sometime for sure, and I plan to check out other games.
Sacred 2 PS3
My only gripe is that the interaction between you and your party is much more shallow this time around. I felt like, outside of Anders and Oghren, no one else had any sort of depth. And you can't really count Oghren because he was more or less completely developed from the first one.
That and I didn't really feel the weight of my actions from the main storyline.
Spoiler: show
Are people generally enjoying the Pokemon games? I'm really on the fence about picking up SoulSilver. :/
finished Mage's Guild in Oblivion. I love the Staff of Worms, wish it lasted longer than 30 seconds though. still it's fun to mess around with.
not sure what to play next. kinda feel like giving Oblivion a break, though I definitely want to play through Shivering Isles at some point, I like how different it is from Cyrodiil. I guess I could finish up FFXIII, or maybe start Disgaea 3. or both?
loving just cause 2, playing heroes of newerth alot, love battlefield bc2's multiplayer, and still playing mw2 alot
