Bad Company 2, trying to finish up trophies in Pixel Junk Shooter and slowly inching my way further along in FF13. If Bad Company 2 wasn't so addicting to play online I'd be a little further along elsewhere >_<

Yuri there's a glitch for the Staff of Worms I think that makes you be able to create a duplicate of yourself. I think you have to drop it when you're fighting someone and they pick up and use it on you etc.
aw, but I'm playing as a chick
I need to remake a hot male character so I can have a naked death-slave following me around. but then I'd have to do the guild again, meh.
Just started Fragile Dreams about 3 hours ago, I have some mixed opinions on it I guess. Graphics are as good as you expect from the trailers, with relatively crisp graphics, anime style cutscenes, and set pieces that have obviously seen a lot of attention. The overall mood/atmosphere of the game with the darkened dilapidated buildings, sound of crickets, fireflies, and somber music really is one of the game's strong points. It's got a very anime-you-play type of feel to it. There are a few spooky moments but it's no survival horror title.
The downside is the clunky combat. The game shares Silent Hill: Shattered Memories wiimote-based flashlight system that controls the flashlight beam, turns the character, scrolls the camera as you approach the edges of the screen, which in both games was passable for exploration but in combat this can become quite frustrating. The ethereal enemies in darkened rooms can often end up behind you, and you have no way of quickly turning to face them. I suppose you could make the argument that survival horror games are supposed to have clunky combat, but meh. Combined with the fact that weapons can break randomly, you can have some rage-inducing moments until you get used to things.
There's a rudimentary leveling system, item merchant, as well a Resident Evil 4-style briefcase system for inventory management. You run out of room a lot but save points are pretty commonplace. There are also a bunch of collectibles and things to explore, but none of it is necessary.
Anyway I'd say this one is probably a rental/pirate. It's good and certainly pretty, but combat will be a big turn-off for a lot of people. Then again if you're playing this you're probably doing so for the atmosphere to begin with, in which case you'll probably stick with it despite the flaws.
I've been playing quite a few games lately, i managed to complete all of them so i'm back to playing MW2 online, which gets boring after a while.
Did Dragons Age(got 1000/1000 achievements, awesome game) traded it in for Mass Effect 2 which was again awesome, traded that in for FF13(took me a while to pretty much complete everything possible for it). So i traded it in for Metro 2033 which was a really dark/atmospheric game that i enjoyed actually, i wasn't really sure that i would have.
So i really need a new game to get into now :/
Just finished playing Star Ocean: TLH for PS3.
Planning on starting up Chrono Cross this weekend as it's been about 3 years since my last playthrough.
BlazBlue, so much fun, anyone playing??
Am playing, nabbed the first Blazblue for 360 sometime last month when Gamefly had a deal; sadly spamming the shit out of Jin as the most intuitive character for me to play. I hate sticking to the same type of character in my fighters, but it's also super satisfying to pick up and rape on a totally foreign game.
Have fun with BB, I don't even want to know how many hours I clocked into that when I got it back in August. I main Tao, although I can't do the majority of her more complicated combos, which are pretty essential to winning as her as she's fucking weak in the attack department.
As for me, picked up yet another game to add to my large stock of "Well fuck, when am I going to stop picking up games and actually finish some of the shit I already own?". Grabbed Killzone 2 due to it hitting Greatest Hits, and so far it's been alright. Standard run of the mill FPS with some pretty damned good visuals albeit some input lag (not enough to bother me as far as a single-player setting goes). No idea wtf is going on in the story though, nothing explains the backstory. Excellent production values otherwise, and loving the cover system, a good controller-friendly means of peeking/leaning over corners/barriers.
Was originally wanting to get Saboteur, but it's still $39 on the PS3 in my area even though the 360 release has dropped to $18. When I do get around to that I hope it won't disappoint. As buggy as fuck as Pandemic's last title was (Mercenaries 2), I still managed to enjoy it a good deal, and I like the visual style and setting of Saboteur.
if gamestop hasnt changed their price there its just bad employees, it has dropped
16 hours to go through Fragile Dreams, which was pretty but had more than a few rage-inducing moments of frustration. Probably could have done it in 10 if I didn't take the time to collect all the memory items (which are actually voiced really well, they remind me of Kaim's dreams in LO) and hit max level (35) and farm up enough yen for duplicates of the best weapons (since they fucking break all the time).
Now back to Little King's Story, I got raped by some dragon a while back and stopped but decided to give it another go. I figured out I was doing some shit wrong and skipped a kingdom expansion. Also apparently they way it determines your soldiers health is random, so I have to reassign some people around to make sure my dudes have max health. Game is so awesome, like Overlord/Pikmin meets Warcraft or something.
Beat Lunar: Silver Star Harmony a few weeks back. All I can say is epic RPG and great remake for those who haven't played any version of Lunar: Silver Star before.
Only complaints I had about it were:
1. The lyrics for "Wind's Nocturne" (Luna's boat song) were rearranged
2. While everyone's VA was changed (Except Luna's) Nash is the only one who took a step backwards.... and off the cliff. His PSX voice was a lot better than this PSP one.
I still wonder where the Lunar series took a turn for the worst and thought Dragon Song was a decent RPG....
Checked my local EB Games today (since my other local Walmart didn't have any in stock), and they had a single copy in ungutted (<3), so I grabbed it for $19. Free nudity code too, whooo......I guess.
The game lives up to Pandemic's high quality testing standards, as the game totally did not just freeze up on me during its installation procedure 5 minutes ago.
wow, ffxiii, star ocean 4 and starcraft 2 beta
Finished Little King's Story, just under 30 hours for 100% completion, FANTASTIC game especially if you're a fan of Pikmin/Overlord. Some really frustrating bosses and the game is a bit tougher than you'd expect considering the graphics, but a shitload of fun to play.
Also zipped through the last part of Deadly Creatures, fun game as well but short. The final boss is Dennis Hopper, and you defeat him by stinging him in the junk. Not even remotely kidding.
Just finished LostWinds as well, interesting game but only 3 hours long. IMO it's a little overrated, especially since the controls are more than a little imprecise and vexing. I missed 2 Melodia Idols but since they don't give you a reward I won't bother.
Still on a wii kick so I'll probably try to wrap up Boy and His Bob and/or de Blob, both of which I'm pretty far in. After that I might sink my teeth into something a bit longer like Muramasa or Dragon Quest Swords. Has anyone played Rune Factory Frontier? If I don't really like Harvest Moon, but enjoy chore-type games like Chibi Robo as well as RPGs will I like this?
Also might play some terrible wii survival horror: Ju-on, Calling, and Obscure 2. Too bad nothing is as good as Fatal Frame 4.
Tried Mega Man Maverick Hunter X last night, wasn't too bad though I prefer the SNES version.
Buttons were also annoying because of how small/bunched up they are. It was annoying to dash jump off a wall.
Really enjoying The Saboteur here. Probably one of the best nazi-killing game I've played yet, and the game gives you a damned good reason for doing so.
Game has some faults that I'm able to easily overlook (lip-sync being off, framerate dips, vehicle controls not being as tight as they could be, tapping X repeatedly to climb buildings, etc), but I have to say otherwise that I'm surprised the game is as polished as it is. Not too shabby of a swan song for Pandemic I'd have to say. One of the few games where I prefer to take the stealth approach, always great snooping about in a general's uniform and cracking people's necks from behind without alerting nearby soldiers.
I just wish the entire game was done in the black/white style, or had an option for it.
Been working through DA:O Still working my way through thre Landsmeet Section @ lvl 19 - got Awakenings installed ready to go when I finish that.
Also picked up Sacred 2 + the Ice & Blood expansion, it kinda fun but the camera angles can be just horrendous, hopefully the expansion & Patches I installed last night with their new "set your own camera" promise might help. Just got a lvl 14 Temple Guardian on the shadow campaign, there.
Online - MW2 way too much, Fallen Earth for a look, it's not bad, but not sure it'll hold me for all that long. Started CoD: WaW as well last night after buying it of a mate cheap, that looks like it can be a whole lot of fun with the Nazi Zombie thing.
FFVII on PSP, must be like 6 years since I last played this. Only thing I never did in this game was get Aeris' Lv4 limit break before she died, must do that, this time round.
Klonoa 2 Dream Champ Tournament (GBA) ~ Found it for 300yen in used game store. xD Loved the original Klonoa game on the PS, the 2nd on PS2 was ok, but paled in comparison to the 1st. This certainly has a lot more challenging puzzle elements to it that its PS predecessors.
Still going back to Monster Hunter & Dissidia from time to time. They're always great to play occasionally, could play either of them for hours straight. ^^
