Starting playing FFXII again from scratch after playing it at release, never beating it, and putting it down until now.
Also playing 13 made me cringe for the ability to move around during battle. Well enough of that, any quick tips or anything that I should keep in mind (gambits, valuable quests, weapons, etc)?
Be careful which chests you open![]()
Question for those who have platinumed Ratchet and Clank: A Crack in time, if I use the extra content like big weapons, skins or different weapons will I still get credit for the game+ trophy?
I finally finished up FFXIII, loved it, now I'm on to Mass Effect 2. Trying to decide what to play next out of the billions of games I have in my backlog after Mass Effect 2. Probably going to go with Resonance of Fate.
Demon's Souls... it's kicking my ass, and I love it.
Thanks, I'll definitely check out Abyss. Is Graces not translated? I only see release dates on wikipedia for JP and EU.
You are a gaming machine, this is not up for debate. ALSO, playing PS2 games illegitimately is shocking simple with Free McBoot. psx-scene even has a forum for free memory card installs if you pay shipping both ways to the installers. I ended up just buying one off of a guy for $15 since a new memory card was more than that. I'm even considering breaking out my fatty PS2 and finding a network adapter since playing games via ethernet shouldn't require that the laser is at all functional lol.
I actually nabbed BG&E because a few here, you included, have talked it up and I'd never really heard of it before then. Not super thrilled with it initially, but I'm going to give it a solid shot.
hey
hey atreides
hey man
I still haven't beaten BG&E yet, even though I love the game and the atmosphere and think it has a fantastic story and wonderful gameplay
I seriously don't know why, but I just cannot bring myself to stick with it
what do you think about that?![]()
and no, Graces is not translated
I don't know what language the EU version is though. didn't even know they had one.
haha well yeah that's true. I have so many endgame saves on games I haven't finished it's ridiculous.
And here I thought something was severely wrong with me because of that. What sucks is that I go so long in between plays that I end up just starting from scratch and further delay ever finishing. :u
once you get past the first few stages where they kinda hold your hand to solve puzzles, game is fucking awesome. Boss fights are really frustrating (since if you get hit once, you die) but the game is such a superb update of the NES original in almost every regard. Although the NES version was really just kinda innovative and not actually good, so I don't know if that's saying much lol.
after I got all the way to Pharos in FF12 before having to restart from waiting so long to finish that I forgot the story, I promised myself I'd try not to let that happen anymore. Now I just power through everything, but for long RPGs I end up fucking hating the game by the end lol
Yeah, it's almost always RPGs for me and I blame the giant whore that is XI for this. I had to totally reinvent any desire in console RPGs after a fucking MMO came into the picture for 3 or so years. I rarely wanted to play them, plus I built up a giant collection of games I was still interested in all the while, so I have this fucking mountain of shit to work through now lol.
Oddly I'm the same way with TV series/anime. Unless it's something I'm going to run through in a few days, I hardly ever finish them.
I've had to adopt a policy like Atreides' and just power through shit if I have any hope to finish. It helps if friends are playing so we can have an ongoing discussion, but for a lot of new games that doesn't pan out because I usually wait until there's a sale lol.
>.> So I need to ask what I should play next, I have a large amount of demon souls left, all of Dragon age left and have yet to play ME2 and just for the hell of it RE5.
What you think should be my next game?
Mass Effect 2, then go back to Demon Souls.
I was on season 4 of house, was obsessed, now I haven't watched it in months lol. but to be fair that's because the new staff can't hold a candle to the original team.
I don't know how Atreides does it. I bought a stack of cheap games with my PS3 (good ones too, like SCIV and Disgaea 3 and Ninja Gaiden) and haven't played more than an hour of most of them. it's all this having a full-time white-collar job crap, it cuts into my gaming time so bad. I miss being a kid and playing Mario 3 all day long during summer vacation while my dad yelled at me to go play outside.
