Mostly Halo: Reach, bit of Grandia 2(forgotten how much i loved the game) and the occasional MW2 game :D
Getting the urge to buy FF9 on my PSP. I love that game but my first disc is in bad shape and I don't know if any place here will resurface CDs.
If you're rollin with CFW you can do that without buyin' shit.
I have Tales of Phantasia's PSX version on my PSP right now
My PSP screen is busted up atm so I'm using the shit as a controller and just sending the display to my computer screen

mitsukete your dream~
The dream will not die :D
fuck, now I feel like playing TOP![]()
I have about 115 of them with about 60 hours in the game. Still need to do like 10 more dolphin shows, earn another 1.4 million dollars, and a whole bunch of shit I'll never get to. I did manage to get every fish but 1, all 200 salvage items, and all 100 coins, so I'm pretty pleased. Was fun while it lasted but I'm fucking tired of the ocean.
also go play muramasa
dunno your level of Japanese skillz but if you know some Japanese you might want to wait.
They are remaking it (again) along with a remake of ToP: Narikiri Dungeon.
This time the spells will not 'stop time' as usual in Phantasia and there will be some other tweaks as well as a new character apparently. (a whip user /drool)
I just wasted three hours today playing Civilization III for the first time, and I still have no fucking clue what's really going on, and whether or not city growth is as stupidly slow going as it currently is for me.
Just finished my platinum for GOW 3, nothing to play till 18th ;/
CFW? If that's a homebrew PSP app or something I'm kind of SoL since I got a 3001 series.
I know there's emulators to, however PSX emulators are a bitch to get right with all the audio, display, etc. adapters and tinkering needed for them.
I need to find some place that can resurface CDs.
I really hate how all harvest moon games assume you've played at least one game in the series so if you're a newcomer there's a nearly vertical learning curve, but after 3 straight days I can safely say I'm hooked on Rune Factory Frontier for wii. Going to go through a year just bullshitting around the farm and upgrading my skills, before starting on the main quest.
After I got over my initial "how the fuck to farm" frustration my opinion of the game became as I suspected, the RPG dungeon crawling makes up for my past hatred of harvest moon, lol. Really addictive, at least it'll keep me busy until 3d dot games heroes on wednesday.
I completely forgot about the Rune Harvest series, I need to go check out the DS releases of it, might make for some good on-the-go gaming.
As far as my gaming goes, I've gone back to playing Deus Ex: Invisible War some more the past week, and slowly starting to enjoy it more after the "fucking consolized piece of shit" factor passes over after having been a fan of the first. Also, the universal ammo system still sucks. I'm stuck to mainly using the pistol now in my current state in the game as anything stronger rapes the shit out of my ammo.
The game feels like it focused too much on the graphics (for its time) as the areas I've been too in the past three hours are as claustrophobic as the initial few were, and the load screens come often, and holy crap, the load screens are still long even on a modern rig. At least the game itself runs smooth, which wasn't the case for any PC built for the games 'recommended' specs back when it was new.
Can't wait to beat the game for the sake of beating it, I had to rebuy it when there was a Steam sale on with it for $2 as I can't find my fucking physical copy of it anywhere in this house. (I looked three times in the past 6 months for it, and no go)
I have to say I do miss the skill system though, there's no specialization in this aside from the biomods, and they're not as helpful as they were in the first game aside from hacking PCs.
I have the DS ones downloaded but I haven't played them yet, I hear that RF2 & 3 improve a lot over the flaws of 1 but I don't know if the stories are connected and whatnot. I guess there really isn't much story to begin with so it might not matter.
In the Wii version at least, the neat thing is that as you progress in the dungeon crawling, you can tame monsters who can perform various tasks on your farm. Some will produce eggs/milk/wool ala traditional HM farm animals, but some will do things like harvest crops or remove tree stumps for lumber/boulders.
You can even get ones that harvest monster feed grass and water crops, meaning eventually your farm basically runs itself, other than you planting seeds and tilling land the first time. This frees you up for relationships and dungeon crawling, or whatever else you'd like to do with your time.
The only bad part of RFF is the Runey System, 4 elemental spirits that appear in every zone (somewhat randomly) that have to be managed to make sure your grops crow fast enough. If you do it right you can make 100 day crops grow fast enough that they'll be harvestable within a single season (or you can just grow them in the dungeons which have no seasons), however.
Originally the other thing that pissed me off was the Stamina (RP) system, which slowly depletes as you perform any action: farming, chopping wood, using a sword, using magic. However as you progress and level your skills, they take up less RP to use, and you can actually plant crops in dungeons to yield RP restoral orbs that can be picked up on your way further in. So dungeon progression is actually quite clever in that you make incremental progress much like full-fledged dungeon crawlers, but eventually you have a relay network of crops that allow you to make it far enough to beat the boss, kill monsters for drops, or fish in the most profitable areas.
Along with the crafting system it's a really deep game that seems to blend RPG elements and harvest moon rather nicely with a few blemishes. I'm definitely glad I got past my initial reluctance to play it.
Let me know how the DS games are.
wait, fighting in a havest moon game?
WHAT?
Lots of Super Street Fighter IV, possibly going to start tackling my back log of games. First on the list would be a boy and his blob as it is just too cute.
playing quite a bit of Grandia lately, I just stopped the rain. I'm kinda surprised how much I'm enjoying it. Some things about the game are fairly annoying- poor field view and lack of map, somewhat tedious process for skillups (although once you get some more advanced skills it does become easier), and the inventory system is a bit limited (can't stack things except in storage, wtf).
But the combat is actually really good for a turn-based. I like that distance plays a role, even though you don't have much control over it. Also being able to interrupt attacks is a really cool feature. The absence of lots of annoying item collection for minute weapon/gear upgrades is good, too.
Honestly the worst thing is navigating fields/dungeons.
how does Grandia II stack up? Maybe later this summer I can track it down.
Fallout 3, I love Moira. I'm torn between helping her out and advancing the story, but I'm having a bit of trouble with the enemies inside DC proper so I'll probably chill out and keep my job as her research assistant for a while.
otherwise I haven't been playing much. a bit of FFXIII when I'm in the mood for mindless grinding, some SSFIV here and there.
