So about prosperity..

I got it in my homestead, does that mean crops grow faster there now? >.> I don't really see the point of getting prosperity in other areas, unless, they all add up and affect my farm? idk

after like 20 days of nonstop rain, finally got my fishing rod yay

Some people may feel that developing your characters by placing them in different scenarios is preferable to giving you full control and just benching a character throughout the entire game.

Makes for a more interesting storyline this way, since most of the characters are divided at the start and being in a solid group doesn't give you quite the sense of desperation and feeling of being on the run.

It's not a set number per zone, having just the homestead in prosperity should shave 1 day off most crops, although you'd need homestead + 1 other zone to make strawberries regrow every day I think (even though just homestead makes yams regrow in 2 days). In general the more zones in prosperity the faster things regrow, to the point that you'll always have something to harvest with a mixed field when you have 8 of them in prosperity.

IMO it's not worth the hassle beyond Homestead until you're doing the post-game content and trying to level crops/flowers to 10 (since that requires you spam greenifier and formula c on crops, and even then you're talking about years to get level 10 of the best accessories in the game).

Once you have all 8 zones in prosperity it's a relatively simple matter of adding 12 grass runeys to each zone per week, but you still have to run around collecting 15 water runeys and adding them to your grass factory zone, and then you end up spending way too much time sucking up the 20 grass runeys it generates every day. Right now I try to do various things in at least 2-3 dungeons per day so I really don't have time to worry about that yet

If they let me choose my characters from the start, I never would have played with 50% of them. I'd have chosen 3 main characters and cleared the game using them, just like with any other FF.

That's why I liked that they were divided up like that.

I'm on The Answer of Persona 3 now. I've heard that it's pretty hard, but I'm actually doing pretty well. I got done with the first door (gaining access to shops and all that.) Is it later on when it starts getting crazy?

Kind of sucks that the MC died (yeah I know the theme of the game is Death/Memento Mori,) but I guess, from what I've heard, Elizabeth is trying to find a way to save him. I wonder if that will ever happen. Maybe in P5's 'fight Igor's assistant'

Got 2 areas in prosperity besides my home, so all those regrowing crops regrow in one day lol, well, the ones I'm planting do anyway. Might go back to just 2 total instead of 3 if it's too much of a pain to keep up, but I'm just stockpiling on all the extra runeys the prosperous zones make, so whenever I'm ready to go further I'll already have them.

I just got my 75k and have over 900 lumber, time to get those upgrades :D :D then maybe I'll start doing dungeon stuff again soon since winter is coming. I remember when I zerged the lava dungeon to try and get some silver the monsters there hit me for like... a lot

You can farm extra silver in Green Ruins, if you hug the left wall on B1F there's a tan boulder blocking the path to a room with 4 boulders, 2 of which have the possibility of holding silver. You can exit -> reenter to make them respawn, so it goes pretty quick.

Not allowing you to choose your own party because of storyline decisions is not entirely a bad thing. It has advantages and disadvantages. This is all I am saying; lack of freedom does not condemn it instantly to being a bad decision.

Neither of us can back anything up with facts though because these are simply opinions.
I can't change yours at all but I certainly can't think of any way that a lack of freedom is 'advantageous'. I prefer to have my freedom.

Freedom vs lack of freedom is obviously a victory for freedom. However, to have such freedom in the scenario presented above, the storyline would have to be changed. Is it worth sacrificing part of the storyline/character development just for a bit of extra freedom early on? I don't think you can absolutely say whether that is a good or a bad thing.
