they should come back the next morning. Your party should be mostly knights, then some hunters once you get them. Since switching to Knights is free, you should switch people back and forth between Knights and Farmers until all your Knights have max health. Eventually you get health upgrades and better armor/weapons, as well as like 19 classes total. It's pretty much Pikmin on crack, such an amazing game.

I'm addicted again

All 4 of my crafts are around level 50 now, made a level 8 silver ring and a level 2 furry belt thing, so I'm ok with defense now, can survive pretty OK in the lava dungeon, gonna try going for the boss soon. I have no fire resistance though, those fire mobs that use fire attacks on me still do a lot of damage, dunno what the boss is like since I never reached it :/

Almost at the end of spring, bought all of the synth upgrades, got a nice amount of money from all the strawberries I made. Think I'm gonna try level 10ing a crop next.

Also, something that pissed me off: That event in the 1st of Summer, where you go to the beach, and put on the swimming trunks (:D)... Why is it only girls show up? It's only you and all of the girls in that event Why don't any of the guys come to the beach? That kinda pisses me off. Ok, no gay marriage, fine, but they wont even let guys go to the beach and take their shirts off..? </rant>

the boss of lava ruins is fire based, so fire resist gear will help you. I think there's one or 2 accessories you can make with a fire resist where you are in the game, but by the time you can reliably clear through B4F and B5F you'll probably be high enough level that you won't really need it. The only boss I ever really had trouble with was the Snow Ruins one, and even then it was more time consuming than difficult.

starting to experience the glitches in Fallout 3 GOTY. ugh. this shit is unacceptable from a major game publisher. when I kill the Super Mutants that attack Big Town and go back to talk to Red, it freezes (ended up just killing them and leaving since you don't get a reward anyway, just some dialogue). freezes randomly on the world map, although it usually rights itself after anywhere between 10-30 seconds, so I guess that's... bearable. freezes when I try to get my hair cut by Butch (though I don't need to and only did it by accident).

on the other hand, I got my hands on my first plasma weapons, and some Tesla Armor. so that's awesome. wish I had known about the armor before I boosted my Energy Weapon skill to 90, since now my Enclave Officer's Hat is useless, but meh. at least it has really good DR.

Started playing FF4 on my DS last week after stopping and starting it way too much on SNES. Luckily aesthetics win me over pretty easily in games and as such DRK Cecil and Kain looking like fucking badasses got me far enough to make me stick with it.

On that note, jesus christ a lot of people die>nonotded>oopsuded? in this game lol. Between this, FMA and Narooto, I can't take any more memorable character deaths.

FFIV does ridiculous shit with its plot that would never fly today, thank god I have nostalgia to cloud my judgment. pretty much half your party dies at some point, but only one person stays dead. and even he comes back in a way.

That was basically my thought process on the story while playing and yeah, personally I'm calling bullshit on Cid's handywork altogether and will gladly finish the job Golbez is fucking terrible at ...if not for the sweet beard and hammer.

edit: His voice actor is pretty ridiculous too, Yang's is badass though lol.

I really loved FFIV DS, especially how you could just go nuts and nerd out maxing your stats and farming ultra rare gear/summons/etc for your characters. I really wish they'd do an updated remake of 5 and 6 (especially 6 since I've never played 5, is FF5 Advanced worth getting?)...

speaking of which, didn't they have a DS remake of one of the FF Legend/SaGa games coming out in japan a while ago?

Oh man, Lava boss is kinda... easy lol. I got it down to 30%ish hp without trying too hard, ran out of potions though, gonna try again in a few days. (And my monster was already dead at this point <.< would have helped a lot)

where's easy place to get gold!? :D

the easiest place is the set of 3 rocks just outside the boss door on B5F of lava ruins. After you beat the boss you should get a warp sphere there (once you reenter the dungeon). Just warp down to the boss door -> smash rocks -> return and zone out -> repeat.

If you've made it past the locked door on Whale Island - Fin you can also get some in the "Tall Tree" zone, there's a path as you're going up the spiral (where the fruit rolls down at you) where you can follow a path down and to the right, there's a set of 2 rocks that can have gold, with a fairy and a treasure chest (which often contains magic crystals, if you're not getting enough from Ignises).

I forget where the earliest place to get platinum is, I think B2F snow ruins? Anyway

also if you ever stumble across Little Crystals make sure you save them, you need at least 15 of them to get all your tool upgrades and max your stats, and that's only if you dupe the stat boost items, but I guess you have a while before you have to worry about that.

Do I ever get any warps or shortcuts in whale island? I hate having to walk through the same thing over and over

you get 3 eventually:

1) in Whale Island Flank there's a boulder you can smash which opens up a door back to the Cave Entrance, it's the next zone after Fin (the zone with Iris' tower in it, you have to progress the story to get the gate to open)

2) in Tower of Rebrith (I think, one of the towers) there's a rope you can knock down that opens a shortcut back to Cave Entrance as well, just north of the entrance

3) after you beat the boss there's a warp sphere at the entrance, just like the other dungeons.
