Anyone else playing it right now? I can't decide if it's good or bad.

I enjoy turned based RPGs but this one feels "different" in a way.

The game reminds me of Wild Arms because of the Force stuff in it. Hell I'm still hoping for a star wars easter egg because of that.

I'm 3 hours in on Levant's story and 1hr on Cecilia. The story so far isn't bad but it's all WORDS WORD WORDS WORDS WORDS, luckily you can skip the dialogue with the right trigger and read the log later.

The graphics aren't crisis core or birth by sleep standards but they look great in their own way.

The Force Points level up weapon system isn't bad either. The item fusion too.
I'd never even heard of it, but due to this post and Kiarax trying it out... I've now found myself playing Hexyz Force as well.
Not too bad for a turn based game, love that I can just run past all the random battle mobs and still get by decently.
The bosses are actually a slight challenge since my levels are kinda low, which is good.
The battle system is also somewhat different from the standard fare so I'm enjoying that too. So much shit to keep track of in battles. You've got the durability then the mini RPS game with the white => blue => red thing then elemental weaknesses on top of all that and attacks that hit by rows and colums and the little bonus damage meter near the top, oh man... but I love it.
It's not at all confusing and every bit of it plays a crucial role in winning when you've got limited resources.

I'm actually enjoying this more than I thought I would, also liking Cecilia's whining, I never thought I'd like such a whiny character but somehow she's won me over!

I wouldn't consider Altus the best, but they're pretty damn good. Even though the only games I get from them are the Trauma Center series.

Yah. Can't say shit on the people who gave us Kartia, Snowboard Kids and Skygunner. Not even gonna drop Ogre because I don't have to.

Granted publishing and developing are waay fucking different.

I've been playing Fallout 3. I just finished the Mothership Zeta DLC and am probably ready to move on. I have Oblivion 4 on the way from Gamefly.

    Yep, and they develop shit.
Also... none of the games you listed are anything I'd call 'best' so I wouldn't ever call them the best.

    Capcom > Atlus

Capcom's not even the best either.

Working on The Dig, and enjoying it so far. Some good voice-acting also, although I have a bad habit of keeping subtitles up, which the game seems programmed to insert a small delay after the voice-clip finishes before it continues the text along with the new sample, which kind of breaks the pacing a little.

Anyone beaten the game and can give an idea of its difficulty? I'm just hoping it has none of those retarded item combos or pixel-hunting in 1 of 50 some locations like Monkey Island 2 or Indiana Jones had. So far it's been a steady ride like Full Throttle, which is one of my favs from LucasArts just because it flowed better, although granted that was due to easy puzzles and it being short as all hell, but it didn't stop it from being great regardless.

it's standard difficulty for a lucasarts adventure, probably a few headscratcher moments where you have to figure out what item goes where and backtrack a little, but I can't remember any seriously rage-inducing moments. And IIRC like all games they made you can't really die or anything.

I think Robert Patrick voices the main character, btw

On level 10 of Normal Mode in Picross 3D. After that I got Hard Mode and hoping for a hidden mode after I beat that.

166 hours in Rune Factory Frontier and finally growing tired of it, still have to wrap up the story but I can't really do that until I finish maxing out stats, which I need a Tuna for in 15 game days so I'm trying to put in a little playtime here and there so I can finish the main quest.

Just spent about 3 days playing Kingdom for Keflings which I bought a while back on sale, I really wasn't expecting much but I get really hooked on those economic resource management kingdom sims like Dawn of Discovery. Got the 2 dollar first DLC too, which was good for a few extra hours of enjoyment.

Now I'm FINALLY getting to 3D Dot Games Heroes, I played for a few hours when it first came out but now I'm really getting into it, just finished the 3rd dungeon. This game is pretty incredible, although the disparity between difficulties when you have full and not-full life is pretty glaring. I like the random game references they have thrown in here, there was even a Dragon Quest 4 homage.

Also gonna be working on Dementium for DS and Sin & Punishment 2 for wii, I think.

SO4: International came in from gamefly today :D

Any starter tips? I've played SO 2 & 3. and I remember them being very walkthrough-dependent games if you want to find/craft awesome stuff. Should I worry about that kind of stuff early game? Don't wanna miss out on important weapons!

Beat RE5 on Normal today after having owned the game for a couple months.

Fairly enjoyable aside from excruciatingly annoying boss fights explicitly due to Sheva always being a chore to direct properly. Currently speed running the chapters with my infinite ammo starter pistol (have yet to find a better one) to unlock the infinite rocket launcher, and then I'm going to town on Veteran difficulty to S-rank all the chapters, and then finishing it off with Professional difficulty if I don't get bored of the game by then. Took me 9 hours to beat the game according to the chapter select menu, although that's ignoring a fair amount of my deaths that made me shut the game off.

Will see about purchasing the DLC after all that since Capcom conveniently bundled all of it (excluding Versus, which I don't care for) into one package on PSN for cheap.

    Spoiler: show
I got the game not long ago too, fighting with all the farming atm
If you're going for all thropies then you need to watch out for things like weapon and ships data. Easy to miss them out.
Finish all shop orders in Aeos base before doing Cardianon mothership.
Finish all shop orders in Trion before killing the boss in Celestial ship.
Make sure to open all chests when doing Cardianon mothership and Earth sections.
One shop orders requires a number of Iron protectors, which need SRF protector to make, but you only get one off Reimi afaik. So you need to save either one to duplicate it laster to finish the quest I believe.

Aside from that I think there's nothing you need to watch out for.

At the very very very start of the game, when you get control of Edge and go outside, go back inside and talk to the guy outside the crafting room, he gives you a recipe. It's missable.

Get the chest inside the elder's house on the 2nd planet.

    Don't sell anything

Buy at least one Eldarian bow from the Eldarian base as soon as you can.
