Post above mine might want to edit out a few spoilers maybe

edit: I didn't mean spoiler tag everything, just remove spoilers so the info is still there but not spoiled, if that person even cares for spoilers >.> Here I'll do it lol

I got the game not long ago too, fighting with all the farming atm
If you're going for all thropies then you need to watch out for things like weapon and ships data. Easy to miss them out. [You can get the ones you miss on a 2nd playthrough without much trouble]
Finish all shop orders in Aeos base before heading to the 3rd planet.
Finish all shop orders in Trion before killing the boss in Celestial ship.
Make sure to open all chests when doing the 3rd planet/area and the area after it. The first one is a ship, and the other one is a deserty area.
One shop orders requires a number of Iron protectors, which need SRF protector to make, but you only get one off Reimi afaik. So you need to save either one to duplicate it laster to finish the quest I believe.

Aside from that I think there's nothing you need to watch out for.
Kinda what I meant? This+what I listed and you should be good, but you'll have to play multiple times anyway to fully get everything. There's 2 ways you can go about it: Beat it on Normal, then the 2 harder settings, then do the Easy Earth mode to get "everything" in one playthrough, and all the hard trophies. That would be 4 play throughs. Or, you can make your first game on normal mode your "All" playthrough, then you'll only need to just beat the game on the two more difficult settings, and go back to normal. Some of the trophies will be a bit harder (Lymle 100 ) but it's not too bad, and sort of more "challenging" I guess?

About to finish my playthrough on Suikoden I, then move on with my save game to Suikoden II. While I enjoy the first one, I've always been more fond of Suikoden II.

Suikoden II is what really makes the series classic.

beat Chocobo's Dungeon, time to move onto the bonus dungeons. kinda lame that storage never improves beyond a max of 32, yet your bag can go up to 48. makes doing the special dungeons a pain in the ass, item management-wise.

started exploring sector Bootes in Strange Journey. beginning to hate the blue demon-data blobs. beating them without taking massive damage can be pretty hit or miss. thankfully you only have to do it once. and oh yay we've reached damage floors... joy.

You are becoming a dungeon crawling addict. Etrian Oddysey (more specifically EO2, little reason to play 1 now) is a great one for DS too. Pokémon Mystery Dungeon is actually pretty good too, but it is exceptionally easy.

I totally am. already played Etrian Odyssey 2, though I only got to the Spring stratum. need to keep moving on at some point but it's hard to get back into once you get out of it. EO3 is looking good too (and was finally confirmed for release over here!)

I'm torn on Pokemon Mystery Dungeon because that's exactly what I've heard - good but easy. I might pick up one of the earlier cheap ones, probably Blue or Time. or you know what, I'll just wait until I pick up a new Cyclo, yeah.

I know I've said this a hundred times but I do mean it, I'll probably pick up Shiren too.

oh and I've decided to download Fallout 1 and 2 after loving 3 so much (I'm well aware of the differences). doesn't fit in this post, but I felt like mentioning it.

Fairly enjoyable aside from excruciatingly annoying boss fights explicitly due to Sheva always being a chore to direct properly. Currently speed running the chapters with my infinite ammo starter pistol (have yet to find a better one) to unlock the infinite rocket launcher, and then I'm going to town on Veteran difficulty to S-rank all the chapters, and then finishing it off with Professional difficulty if I don't get bored of the game by then. Took me 9 hours to beat the game according to the chapter select menu, although that's ignoring a fair amount of my deaths that made me shut the game off.

Will see about purchasing the DLC after all that since Capcom conveniently bundled all of it (excluding Versus, which I don't care for) into one package on PSN for cheap.
I would recommend fully upgrading the L. Hawk. It's the best Magnum and goes along well with the Desert Eagle. Most of the super-weapons aren't really worth the hassle outside of the achievement/trophy. Once you unlock the Longbow you can just give that to Sheva full time to save ammo. If you think her AI is horrendous now, just wait til you get to Professional. I spent a couple hours trying 1-1 before I just gave up on it.

I dunno, the Hydra is pretty awesome. I usually go through the game with just that. Its got good long-range and close-range.

I'll be giving Sheva the rocket launcher when I unlock infinite, been reading that she's pretty handy with it.

Nearly done speed running all the stages, got one more level to A-rank on for another unlock, as well as 3 more medals to obtain as I do two more stages for my under 5hr timer. Raged at Sheva earlier because she decided to stand there staring at me as she gets one-shotted by those hard-shelled bug things. I wish you could just order her to sit still in a location while I go clear it out.

I maxed out starter pistol, will be getting hydra eventually (already unlocked it, just lack the cash), working on L.Hawk atm since it's apparently godly for normal mobs, and I got the starter SMG fully upgraded which Sheva seems alright with. Nice weapon for staggering a large group of enemies on infinite ammo.

Anyone able to recommend a good location to farm cash in? I know of the rotten egg trick but that seems tedious and annoying to find someone for. Going to take me awhile to max out all the weapons.

Also, what about S-ranking missions? I tend to get A in my speed runs due to lack of kills (no surprise since I just ignore more than half of them) and accuracy. Is it worth doing a run on Amateur to get the figurine for S-ranking all chapters? (haven't looked it up yet if the requirements for S-rank are lowered on nooby-mode)

Been enjoying this game too much now to not want to platinum it. Shit got infinitely more fun once I got infinite ammo for two weapons.

I really enjoyed RE 5 as well, never understood all the hate it gets. The fact you cant run and shoot was the only problem I had with it.

I forget which chapter it is since it's been awhile, but the chapter with all the Lickers near the start of the level is a pretty good place to get cash. Just go in, get to the lickers, kill them and pick all the shit up in that room, then exit the level from the pause menu (which also saves it) and redo. Those red jewels they drop is the main thing you're looking for.

Yeah those things sell for like 5k each, should be pretty fast for farming, I think it was 3-1 or something, its been so long since I played tho.

yeah that's where I farmed cash as well, in Chapter 5-1 with all the Lickers in the corridor. You can just get to the end, quit and restart. Only downside is that you don't get any exchange points, if you need both I'd say just farm Chapter 4-1. You can probably get a nice mix of cash/exchange points from Chapter 3 zipping around to the various islands, but having to take the boat is kinda tedious and there are better ways to make cash unless you're trying to farm eggs.

Couldn't you do the rotten egg trick by yourself? Just needed two controllers, right? I don't remember needing someone else to do it with but I definitely exploited the hell out of it for achievements on 360 when I gave a shit about them/my 360.

The Hydra was nasty. I just didn't like the aiming on it and didn't use it much.

The only thing bad about the rocket launcher is the splash damage. I don't trust that bitch to not shoot something right next to me.

S Ranking each level on amateur is pretty easy to do and you can just do them in whatever order you like so it's not too repetitive. IIRC the requirements are lower and a lot easier.

I second everyone saying 5-1. That's a great spot to farm money.

Metal Gear Solid 3. Saw an interview where Kojima is teaming up with Square-enix and it made me long to play some MGS.

17 hours into RE5, finally got my infinite ammo rocket launcher, along with enough exchange points for infinite L.Hawk. I wonder if Sheva is any good with the L.Hawk, I got a spare so I guess I'll try it out with her.

Time to have some fun on Veteran, and then Professional.

Uncharted 2, glad I bought it. Definitely worth the 30€ spent.

Valkyria Chronicles, which is really nice as well (aside from the occasional RAGE when your lancer misses thrice in a row >_>). 15€, just about the right price.

Also playing DJ Max Portable 2 on PSP, shit is hard but addicting! Songs suck so far though.

You get a command that makes non-Lancer classes do awesome damage to tanks a bit later in. Then you can just have your sniper take them out in two shots from across the map. It's pretty glorious. Lancers are pretty fucking worthless at anything but point blank range until later on.
