If you start from the beginning, you should get the trophy before Mexico though.

There are about 23 missions before that point that count towards it. There are some wagon missions in there but as long as you never hitch another horse, the one you get will stay with you even through those missions.

I'm not sure exactly, I stopped switching horses about 50% of the way through new austin so as long as that horse I automatically got on in mexico doesn't count, I'll get it halfway through mexico. How many story missions are there total?

Yea there's TD, but I think you have to unlock it as you play (which shouldn't be too hard since the game is awesome)

Decided to give Castlevania 3 a shot and it's pretty fun... although that one level where you need to fight 3 bosses after each other drove me to insanity.

The first time my horse ever died, I was hunting wolves with my knife. I was swinging everywhere and my horse walked right up to me while I was doing it.

Pre-ordered me Blazblue:CS & FFXIV CE today along with finally finding a fucking copy of Batman:AA GOTY for PS3.

Playing it currently on hard difficulty since I'd rather not have to play the game twice for the sake of trophies/achievements if possible. Anything I should be aware of or upgrade early to abuse something OP to make my life easier? I got my ass handed to me in the tutorial mode three times until I learned to abuse countering on anything that moves remotely near me. Game seems easy trophy-wise as far as missables are concerned, so aside from paying attention to two trophies I'll be taking my time and enjoying this since the sequel is still quite a ways off.

Will probably take a trip to PSN later and download the Joker add-on, unless it's already included in the GOTY release since the DLC maps are....


On a side note, the 3d glasses effect is pretty damn weak, but I'm not sure if it's to do with my monitor (it's pretty bright, possibly too much for the filtering of the colours with the plastic lens), or perhaps I'm not sitting at the right distance to maximize the effect. Perhaps their implementation is just weak overall though since it doesn't seem to hamper the game's framerate at all, where-as with the typical analgyph method requires rendering the scene twice.


[EDIT] Whoo, got my Resident Evil 5 platinum, can finally delete the 5gb of install data now. Might bother with the DLC in the future if they have a sale on it.

Just found a new God Eater English Patch and I am giving that a spin. So far there seems to be quite a bit translated. Most useful are menus and bullet effects and then weapons and gear creation.

Maybe it will help me get into the game a bit more, doing R4 stuff and I am still not as excited about the game as I want to be =(

Ugh, that reminds me of how much I really need to get a PSP. Also mentioning a translation reminds me that I started playing Super Robot Wars Alpha Gaiden recently after I remember it's been patched for awhile now. Anyone else played it at all? This feels like Domon territory.

I played the Konami Classics game, which had a save feature wherever. I don't think I would have the patience for it without that. Also, Alucard sucks and I never came across Sypha. Apparently I went the more difficult route in the game.

Just counter everything, I probably hit the counter button more than the attack button. I can't really think of anything to upgrade that would make the game easier from the get-go other than the armor/health upgrades. As far as trophies go and within the actual story mode, the only thing that gave me trouble was the Mano-a-mano trophy. The collectibles are pretty easy to sweep up once the game is over if you pay attention and get what you can during your regular progression, finding the maps that reveal them makes it easy-mode.

I never did play the challenge mode yet, but I'm pretty sure some of them are supposed to be pretty difficult. Haven't gotten the Freeflow 40 combo trophy yet either, I don't know why but I simply cannot do it.

As far as I know, there is only 1 trophy that can be missed...

When you first time see the Joker's Toxin there will be 3 people hanging and waiting for you to help them, 2 of them are Guards and a Henchman, You have to save the 2 guards FIRST then the henchman.

I believe it's really early on though.

Already got that one, and there's supposedly one near the end which I'll keep an eye out for. I normally don't mind missables, but in a game that only auto-saves, it can be a bitch when you make one mistake. -.-

Enjoying the game a lot so far, especially with it giving me that Metroid vibe where you see a lot of shit in the level design, but you can't access it until later when you get the appropriate gadget or ability. Game so far feels like a joke on hard aside from sections where stealth isn't an option, but that's what planting explosive gel on the ground and luring the thugs towards them is for.

Challenge mode trophies are supposedly the hardest and frustrating, but I think I'll have the patience for it.

[EDIT] Of course after I say hard mode is easy do I come across a room full of guys with shotguns that 1-2 shot me and stay packed together -.-

Yeah, there's a trophy you can miss towards the end of the game but it's not like it's out of the way or anything. It's just whether you choose to do what the trophy unlocks for or not, which I'm sure a lot of people do decide to do it, because you're the motherfucking Batman.

Tell me about it. I hate Alucard. Although his bat transformation is helpful in some areas.

Also Castlevania 3 had a password feature, however I used save states. Mostly for that one annoying assed level where you need to fight that giant bat again then later that soul that possesses those coffins. The boss wasn't hard, but the path to him was hell.

Also other than that managed to beat Mega Man 5. I forgot how fun this game was, although the weapons were mostly useless since your regular arm cannon could tear through stuff like tissue paper.

Yeah, I don't usually mind retrying bosses, in fact it's usually fun for me. But I HATE replaying levels. I don't know how I had the patience for these kinds of games when I was a kid, but I certainly don't anymore, at least not without a save state function.

That's Ayn territory too. I loved Alpha Gaiden. Still need to play through MX and OGS, sigh.

I'm trying to make myself like FF13 right now. I'm on Gran Pulse now, but fuck that place.

Might play GoW1/2 soon. Picked up 3 yesterday for 30 bucks.
